Will Carnival be showing the Olympics on their ships?

I have been trying to find out the same thing. I asked on John Heald's FB page and got nothing but crickets as a reply.

I am tending to think "no" since NBC has the coverage and they no longer are carrying the major US networks.

I will be setting up my DVR for some binge watching when we get home!

Good grief-what tv is Carnival showing? Carnival tv? Well you do escape from the world when you cruise, and maybe we don't want to know what's going on in the world, but while I cant do anything about it, I still like to know what I am coming home to.

I don't think DH and I watched any tv when we cruised in December- a movie, the morning show with Kevin on the elation, but nothing else.

There's a very much bigger sporting event in June-July. The World Cup. I know they will be showing that on Carnival.. :=)

It's no secret Carnival favors showing soccer on their ships due to their non-U.S. staff. I'm sure a couple revenue passengers will enjoy that with you. ;p

Actually the Super Bowl is on NBC this year.

Apparently the ship can buy individual coverage as they are showing the Super Bowl, but not in your cabins, only the big screen and the sports bar. The Super Bowl is on CBS as well

LOL at all the people who think NBC is the only network in the world to cover the Olympics.

I agree, but live event and opening ceremonies coverage won't be on the limited number of Turner stations now available on Carnival.

Last two weeks on Splendor they showed a lot of cricket, the Australian Open (tennis), the NFL playoffs, college basketball. (Not all at the same time). ESPN and ESPN2, sports bar and casino bar only. EM

What station did they play the NFL playoffs, only one game was on ESPN, the other was on the networks

We were on the Breeze for the last summer Olympics and they had a big party on the Lido for the opening ceremonies. This was near the end of the cruise so I did not see how many of the games were on the tv. Of course, this was also the summer games so not sure about winter.
