A good friend recently returned from the Koningsdam where he was told by an officer that the K'dam uses less fuel than the Veendam. Hard to believe. Could it be per guest, in which case, I would understand as it holds twice as many. Can any of our sailaway friends (Copper do you hear me?) comment?

Sorry St. Pete, you need an engineer like ChengPK to answer that one. I can tell you that, unlike Veendam, K-dam uses azipod technology

Pop Quiz; besides Queen Maxima (2x Nieuw Amsterdam & Koningsdam) and former Queen Beatrix (2x Eurodam & Statendam IV), there is one additional member of the Dutch Royal Family who has been the godmother of a HAL ship not twice, but three times. Who is it?
