ger_77 Posted March 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2018 You can check with your TA to see if they can link your two bookings. If you don't end up with the same table assignment, just check with the Maitre 'd when you board the ship to have the four of you placed together. It's very easy. Enjoy your cruise! Smooth Sailing ! :) :) :)
scotlandyard1985 Posted March 15, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted March 15, 2018 Tnx for the quick answer! I am really looking forward to it.:) The bookings are linked. But i was thinking maybe it will a problem when not everyone on the table has a drinking package.

Krazy Kruizers Posted March 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Since your reservations are already linked, there should not be a problem. The waiters don't worry about who has the drink package and who doesn't. On Embarkation day, your table number and time of dining will be listed on your ID card that you get when you check in. All of you can check to make certain you all have the same table and time. If you don't, check your When and Where daily program as to where you should go and what time to talk to the dining room manager to get everything straightened out. CruiserBruce Posted March 16, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Agree. Having the Explore4 or not doesn't affect who you can sit with.
cb at sea Posted March 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2018 If you are "linked" and have the same dinner seating, you will be seated together. Drink packages have NOTHING to do with anything!
scotlandyard1985 Posted March 16, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Thanks a lot everybody. I know it is sometimes a problem on other cruiselines.
OlsSalt Posted March 16, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 16, 2018 I think the only problem would be if someone expected to share their "unlimited" drink package with their table mates. That unintended sharing would be why everyone in the same cabin needs to be on the same package since this would allow private sharing of a single drink package. But in a public setting like the MDR, it is unlikely any sharing with non-drink package passengers would take place.
doone Posted March 16, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Last year on the Eurodam we had some in my group who had the unlimited drink package and some did not, we all sat at the same table and never had an issue. As others have said here as long as your reservations are linked together, there should be no issue. Enjoy your cruise.

So sometimes the dining room manager is in another place the first day then in the dining room
Rare kazu Posted March 17, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 17, 2018 [/size] So sometimes the dining room manager is in another place the first day then in the dining room  Actually yes they can be, or an assistant manager or one of the other people from the MDR. There is often a table set up on embarkation day (location is posted in the When and Where) for people who want to inquire about tables, were waitlisted, want to change dining, etc.)
OlsSalt Posted March 17, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 17, 2018 Typically we have always found the Dining Room Manager or staff in the Explorer's Lounge if we have any questions about our table assignments. Always the first thing we do, find our assigned table (there are some dining room layout maps online with a search for your ship) and then see the DR Manager to see if we can arrange any changes if we don't like the initial assignment. (PS: We are always late (main) fixed dining). Wandering around the empty dining room looking for table numbers is not an easy task, since they are not in any great numerical order. However, usually there is someone coming in or out of the dining room who has only too happy to help us find our assigned table number.
