Stratheden Posted March 27, 2018 #26 Share Posted March 27, 2018 I request that a copy of the newspaper, the NY Times be delivered to my in-box each am. Who do you ask for a copy of the daily newspaper to be delivered to your cabin?

OlsSalt Posted March 28, 2018 #29 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Depending on the time zone you are traveling in, this US based Times Digest will be available at different times. Sometimes in the morning, sometimes only after you get back from the port. Other country papers may be available at different times too, depending on what they get transmitted and printed by office staff. So you may not be able to count on a news delivery to your cabin every morning, if that is your usual preference. Or at any other set time for that matter. Easier to just pick them up at various locations around the ship, once you learn when to reasonably expect them to be available.

You may wish to ask for an Australian newspaper......we read the Australian paper each day during a cruise.
Trapper44 Posted March 28, 2018 #32 Share Posted March 28, 2018 We just disembarked the Maasdam on Sunday. We were on the 14 night return to San Diego from Lima, Peru. It was our first time sailing this ship and very much enjoyed our cruise. Although it is smaller from our experience we never had problems finding chairs at the Lido for breakfast nor lounge stairs by the pools. We had very warm weather and enjoyed the back pool . There is a smoking area near the back pool but oftentimes no one was smoking. The entertainment was better than on other trips. Andrew the piano player had good crowds and would have music trivia. The 5pm sip and savor cost $5 for a glass of wine paired with an appetizer. On this cruise, not only was there a cellar master dinner but a wine lunch. The wine lunch cost about $30 and included wine per course. It was a surf and turf menu. There are a few lounge chairs on deck nine just below the back pool that are always open. madera1 Posted March 28, 2018 #33 Share Posted March 28, 2018 The sip and savor was near the Pinnacle Grill. The cellar master gave a little description of the wines served. There were two from which you can pick and they change each day. The location will be in your daily schedule that will be left in your stateroom every night. jillorpy Posted March 29, 2018 #35 Share Posted March 29, 2018 You may wish to ask for an Australian newspaper......we read the Australian paper each day during a cruise. We were on the Maasdam last year and you had to collect your newspaper either from the front desk or near the restaurants. They will print it for you at the front desk if you can’t find it. I do remember it being delivered as well as other newspaper digests from other countries when we were on the Noordam. But that was several years ago.
