Mike_C1047 Posted April 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Can you buy bottles of wine on board to take back to your room on Anthem of the Seas? We are bringing a couple bottles but it's a 9 Night Cruise so the wife wants to know if she can buy more on board. She doesn't want to have to run to a bar to get a glass of wine if she's in the room. Also can you do the same with a 6 or 12 pack of beer? (We do have the booze package). It would be nice to have the room fridge stocked with beer. Thanks!
39august Posted April 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Yes you can buy wine by the bottle. And I believe with the drink package there is some sort of a discount for a whole bottle. No to the beer. You can buy one at a time and stock your fridge. But honestly, it won't keep beer cold, only cool.
George C Posted April 19, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Drink package gives you a 40 percent off all wine bottles under 100 and 20 percent off wine bottles over
Grandma Dazzles Posted April 19, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Yes you can purchase a bottle of wine and take back to your cabin. You can also purchase a bottle in the MDR and ask them to keep until the following night if you don't finish (unlikely!)
Rare island lady Posted April 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Yes, and can ask them to open if needed, and ask for glasses. Have done it many times on longer cruises. Cheers!! :wine-glass:

nelblu Posted April 19, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Or you can find some D+ members and offer to buy their wine gift from them. I'm sure it's cheaper than RCL.:D

shellunderwater Posted April 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Used to be able to buy 5 bottles of beer in a collapsible bucket/cooler thing. The bottles were unopened, and there was a small bottle opener attached. Not sure if it is still offered. Easy to take the bottles back to the room. You can't get that with the drink package
MikeBTN Posted April 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Another option - bring a cheap plastic funnel and after you've finished a bottle fill it up with free glasses from the bar :-)
nelblu Posted April 20, 2018 #12 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Another option - bring a cheap plastic funnel and after you've finished a bottle fill it up with free glasses from the bar :-) Free! Nothing is free, unless the Op is D or higher and takes advantage of the Happy Hour 3 drinks.:')
MikeBTN Posted April 20, 2018 #13 Share Posted April 20, 2018 Free! Nothing is free, unless the Op is D or higher and takes advantage of the Happy Hour 3 drinks.:') The OP has already mentioned they have purchased the beverage package, so yes, they are in fact free. If you’re going to be pedantic, then the D beverages aren’t free either, as you’ve paid tens of thousands of dollars to achieve that status
