Royal app on Samsung galaxy

i tried to download the royal app to my Samsung galaxy but it says not compatible although I was able to download the Royal IQ app. I need the Royal app as I am going on the Symphony. Any advice?

I was able to install the Royal App on my S7 running Android 7.0, works fine.

I had no problems on my Galaxy S9 and worked great on Symphony.

Carrier-updated S5's are on Marshmallow (6.0.1)

 

I've seen a few cases in the Play store where apps that your phone is perfectly capable of running are mistakenly listed as incompatible with that phone, so it won't let you download them. You can usually still run them if you side-load them. I'm not sure if links to download sites are frowned upon here so I'll just say google "royal IQ apk" to find what you need.

That's why the app won't work. You need to update to at least 5.0.

My husband thought he was the last person with a working S5! [emoji846] He's starting to have issues with other apps no longer working or being incompatible. Hopefully that's not the case with you, but it might be.

An even older S4 is still a very good Android phone and is carrier upgraded to V5, so there should be no incompatibilities yet.

Why is it on such an old Android version? It can run 5, and the carriers upgraded it to 5 a long time ago over the air. Did he skip the updates?

An AT&T Samsung Galaxy S5 user here.

 

Go to:

Settings

 

Then go to (General)

 

Then scroll down & click on (About device)

 

Then click on (Software updates)

 

Then click on (Check for updates)

 

Then click on (Ok)

Thank you all for your help. I loaded the software updates but everything updated except the android operating system. Still at 4.42. Can,t afford a new $700.00 phone. Guess I’ll just deal with it. Thanks Everyone for trying.

I've used the IQ app on my S5 with no issues...but I do have 6.0.1

All may not be lost.  Symphony doesn't use the Royal IQ app.  It uses the "Royal" app.

Well I guess things have not changed since last year.  Just bought a Samsung Galaxy and the app isn't even appearing in the Play store.  Guess it still won't work with the Galaxy.  I don't have 6.0 or better
