A genie is a wonderful person who takes care of you if you stay in a particular suite. They will book all your shows, any dining requests (some suites have all inclusive specialty dining) and any on board activities you want to take part in. They escort you off the boat at some port stops and the big plus is they take you to the front of the line to get thru customs at the end of the cruise. If you can afford a suite with a genie you will never go back to a regular room. I know, we had a genie for 2 Oasis cruises and will have genies for 2 Anthem cruises.

We had a visit from the upgrade fairy just before our cruise last month and ended up in Star Class. We will take less cruises going forward because don't ever want to cruise without a genie again!

 

They are part butler, part concierge, part personal assistant. They just make everything magical. Cruising on the Anthem with a genie was like cruising on a much smaller ship. We had all the advantages of a large ship but without ever really feeling the crowds. No need to get to the theater early to get a good seat. It is reserved and your favorite drink will there waiting for you. No waiting for a table. No need to go wait in line at a buffet ever. Made sure we had reservations for everything and we could have done anything again if we chose to. He would have made that happen (such as our private ride on Northstar)

Glad to see all the positive comments about Genies. We're in our first Star suite next March on Oasis. Very much looking forward to this experience.

You feel like we do. If there is star class on a boat we will have a genie. Amazing how easy they make it to completely enjoy your vacation. I am excited to hear they book north star because we did not do that expecting they would have some time slots. We want to get on the first day.

I do not think there is ANY boat with a genie!:confused:

I only know ships that have them.....:rolleyes:

There are genie's on the Oasis class and the Quantum class. We are on Liberty in 2019 and they do not have genies.
