LongHill44 Posted June 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2018 Seen pictures from various ships and they do seem smaller than I had thought they would be.
Rare 1025cruise Posted June 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2018 Not many. Plus the cooler doesn't get that cold. I would put a bottle in my bubba, and then go to a bar and get a scoop of ice.
firemanbobswife Posted June 9, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2018 I don’t drink water but it fit my Diet Coke and Moscato in there just fine. And yes it does get cold if you keep the outside cabinet door open. Actually, they get pretty darn cold that way. Practically froze my strawberries. HerbertandB Posted June 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2018 I think we got 8 bottles in ours, we could have put in more if we stacked them. And they were plenty cold, as we used a washcloth to keep the wooden cabinet door prompt open.
coevan Posted June 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2018 us too, our fridge was brain freeze cold. I think you could squeeze 12 bottles of water in the fridge.

teknoge3k Posted June 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2018 I know the Magic has slots in the cabinet so you don't need to keep the door propped open. That was nice. The drinks and wine were ice cold. On other ships though yes, I have had to prop the door open to keep it cold but once the door is propped open then the fridge gets very cold. Here's a picture of the inside of our fridge to give you an idea of its size.

The Glory and her sister ships along with Vista all have slots in the cabinets but they are not nearly enough to let the hot air out. You still need to keep the cabinet door open. I’ve done it both ways and it makes a world of difference.
karlmonday Posted June 9, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 9, 2018 you can fit 13.4 bottles of water in the fridge... but be prepared when opening the door to catch a few.

Have to think the wooden door makes the fridge work harder and use more electricity to cool less. Wonder why they even have the doors
poz222 Posted June 10, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 10, 2018 Is this like one of those “how many candies are in the jar” riddles? What do we win?
Rare BlerkOne Posted June 10, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 10, 2018 When the coolers were mini-bars, a door was necessary for the lock to keep honest people, honest. They may be chillers on the inside, but are heaters on the outside. Vents, and propping doors open, help heat the cabin. Not sure about the 13.4 bottles. What size? Never mind - I'm not removing the wine to make room for more water.

Wonder why they even have the doors I'm sure it does. Now that they don't have booze and stuff in them, they should just remove the doors. When I had 9292 twice - once on Conquest and once on Glory, they weren't in a cabinet and I'm telling you ice cream would have stayed frozen in it! ParrotRob Posted June 10, 2018 #14 Share Posted June 10, 2018 Fridge on Glory kept water and wine plenty cold without any propping of doors.
NoDayButToday Posted June 10, 2018 #15 Share Posted June 10, 2018 How far open should we keep the cabinet door to make it work better? Just a crack-like put a bunched towel over the top to prevent it closing, or leave the whole thing open?
