Brandi36 Posted June 11, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2018 So is it true that if you are on a "Carnival Cruise" and stop in Cozumel you can't visit Mr.Sancho's? I would love to go back there on my cruise in September. Thanks in advance for any input.
cruisinqt Posted June 11, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2018 I’ve always just booked them straight through their website and never had a problem. No questions about Carnival or what cruise ship I’m on. And my daughter was on a carnival cruise a couple months ago and booked them via their website and had no problem either. I hope they haven’t changed, I love that place.
rjl1977 Posted June 11, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2018 I haven't heard of that rule. I would say yes you can go.
firemanbobswife Posted June 11, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2018 We've been like 5 times with the most recent in April. It's certainly not true. Where did you hear this?
Argigi Posted June 11, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2018 Was at Mr. Sanchos 3 weeks ago. Also, cruises on Carnival Dream. Never was questioned. Will definitely go back. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
rondl1 Posted June 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2018 We were there this Saturday and have no problems. It’s a short taxi ride hours for four of us. I believe it was $17 for four of us for the taxi ride. I highly recommend that reservation is only $5 per person and then they charge the remainder when you arrive. And you can cancel the morning of your reservation. I am here they are close to being full and you don’t have a reservation they are starting to turn people Away. coevan Posted June 12, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 12, 2018 "Never was questioned" questioned about what? "I haven't heard of that rule" probably because there is no rule it's a public beach with an entrance fee, Carnival is just your transportation
timc.jb Posted June 12, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Carnival can't prevent you from going. Do so if you wish.
teknoge3k Posted June 12, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Absolutely you can go to Mr. Sancho's. Whoever told you that you couldn't, is wrong.
ballarinamom Posted June 12, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 12, 2018 I highly recommend that reservation is only $5 per person and then they charge the remainder when you arrive . I'm questioning this, "charge the remainder". Do we pay cash there or do they charge the original method of payment?

You pay cash or credit card. It's up to you. They don't keep the original form of payment on file.
SailorJeff66 Posted June 12, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 12, 2018 I'm not sure any of the lines book Sancho's as an excursion. I'm on RCI Brilliance in December and Sancho's isn't available from the line. I booked from the Mr. Sancho's website.
Lottacruises Posted June 12, 2018 #13 Share Posted June 12, 2018 You can freely go. When you reserve you actually put your ship and arrival date. It could be they are sold out on the day you wanted to go, or the day someone else tried to go. I recommend getting reservations as soon as you know that is where you want to go. I checked one of the ship traffic websites, found out Cozumel will have seven in port on the day of my visit. Booked right away!;p;p
SNJCruisers Posted June 12, 2018 #15 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Another good option is Nachi Cocum.
Jdfireman Posted June 12, 2018 #16 Share Posted June 12, 2018 You forgot asking for a friend in your post. You can go the the joint but I suggest one of the other less crowded places
itolduso Posted June 12, 2018 #17 Share Posted June 12, 2018 it's a public beach with an entrance fee.. You definitely did not take advantage of the all inclusive package Sent from my SM-N920P using Forums mobile app
itolduso Posted June 12, 2018 #18 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Another good option is Nachi Cocum.Absolutely DID NOT have a good time there. I have only been once but all the drinks tasted like dirty water. (Yes i should not have kept drinking) and the food options were limited to 1 app, 1 main and 1 dessert. Sanchos is truly unlimited. And they have a drink menu. Nachi did not have a drink menu, weird right? Sent from my SM-N920P using Forums mobile app
Cruise a holic Posted June 12, 2018 #19 Share Posted June 12, 2018 We love Mr. Sanchos! We book it directly through their website. A fun day! Enjoy. We went their twice, food very good as was the service. The drinks were also very good. Not dirty water. Booked again for the winter.
ja_martin Posted June 12, 2018 #20 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Several years ago we went to Mr Sanchos, via taxi, but did not buy the all-inclusive. I think we paid an admission charge, grabbed a free lounger on the beach, and when we were ready, bought a couple of beers and a plate of nachos. I don't think the day there cost us more than $30 total, not including the taxi. Does anyone know if this option is still available? Or, is it just now all-inclusive or nothing? If not available here, does anyone have any suggestions as to a nice beach where you don't have to buy an all-inclusive? I think Cozumel has the most incredibly beautiful waters. Thanks! It is still an option unless it’s peak time. Last year on Vista over Spring Break they were completely sold out and weren’t allowing anyone to even get a taxi there unless you had a reservation. They made the Pay as you go side All Inclusive. Our very first trip to Mr Sanchos was on the PAYG side and the rest have been AI. For $55 per adult you still can’t beat it. We get our money’s worth and then some every time. I LOVE the grilled shrimp!
Mommawo Posted June 12, 2018 #23 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Well wasn’t sure what we were gonna do here next March. I guess you all answered my question with this post. He best thing to do in port here?
Dodgers671 Posted June 12, 2018 #24 Share Posted June 12, 2018 Mr.Sanchos is great get there early and I highly recommend the fish spa $20.00 well spent. I'm a male and would never get a pedicure but the fish do a great job much cheaper than Carnival.
