Laundry bags had to be bedside by noon on Day 4 (Tallinn), and will be returned on Day 7 (Helsinki). We sent two bags out... and will let you know when they return.

 

Thank you! Remind me to buy you a ration of the grog should we ever sail together.

Exiting the palace, Dmitri tells us that the standby line (not in a group) is currently over two hours long. Alla Tours has been fantastic... having not stood in a single line all day.

We stop by a gift shop to pay for our Alla Tours for the week.

Our 5-city / 6-day tour, including all transportation, admissions and several meals, arrived at $705 per adult and $632 per student.

 

The suggested gratuity is 10% for the guide and 5% for the driver, which we calculated against the non-discounted individual city tour. This totaled another $125 per person.

It was actually a two-sided mug, with Putin and Trump on opposite sides. Dmitri mentioned that Trump has been the typical lead story on the news each night.

 

By the way, Dmitri has been a phenomenal tour guide. Along the way I asked him if he studied history at university, and he laughed. He graduated with a mechanical engineering degree, but engineers get paid quite poorly in this country. It’s because of this that he’s drawing off of his love of Russian history by being a tour guide.
