After plying my beautiful wife with a French red blend, she agreed I could copy a Facebook pic she posted for Mother's Day here.  Her caption was something like:  my mother and I in our best polyester dresses and worst hairdos from the 70's.

Before the nasty Black Tartan Kitchen served lunch as well as dinner.  Once things opened up a tad, they served dinner on 4 nights a week but did not served lunch.  BTK is now opening for lunch on Fridays and Saturdays.  We were invited to a soft open yesterday on their patio.  The delightful, talented chef Ian Carswell comp'd our meals.  It was amazing!

 

Myster started with mushroom soup and I had scallop ceviche...

 

 

For mains Myster has a Croque Monsieur and I had Steelhead Trout...

 

 

 

I passed on dessert and Myster had Creme Brulee....

 

 

Thankfully no crossword puzzles were involved!

True story.  I had a Dr. Appointment yesterday and when she saw my clothing and shoe choice, she said, “If you weren’t late already, I’d stop you right there and not allow you to leave the house until you change your clothes. And, DO NOT go to the grocery store or post office after your appointment.  Come straight home!”  The WaveyDave would have been so disappointed in me.

Tis the truth!  I lost my sweet tooth years ago.  I indulge from time to time.   Mostly at the BTK tasting menu dinners.   We have no dessert with our meals at home.   I now go for salty.   😁
