The suspense is killing me

We are booked on the Bliss Alaska cruise September 8, 2018 along with 2 other couples. We all booked inside cabins to have extra money for excursions (second time to Alaska for us and first time for the other couples). At the 80 day mark we all received emails to bid on upgrades for balcony cabins. We all placed the minimum bid (I think it was 75.00 p.p.) and we really didn’t care either way if we upgraded or not. A few days ago one of the couples received an email that their bid was accepted and they are off to a balcony cabin. Us and the other couple’s bids are still “pending”. I keep checking the website and there are plenty of suites and balconies left that have not been sold. I know it can take up to two days prior to sailing to accept your bid but the suspense is killing me.

I am wondering the same thing, ive seen the mini-suites get filled up this past week and the balcony ones opening up. But there are still 7 open cabins in the haven, hoping those fill up with upgrades from the haven people and hopefully my bid gets accepted for the less expensive ones. doing mock reservations on crucon shows you all or most all available rooms.

Are all of the inside cabins that you have booked at the same fare ?

And did you all bid the same amount for the upgrade ?

It is possible that the couple with the successful bid - bid more and

more gets the upgrade and may have a Latitudes loyalty status ?

Yes the suspense can be stressful and waiting until -2- days before

sailing for the result and seeing one in your party get the bid accepted

way early puzzling.

If you had all the cabins in the same general area - convenient for

visiting and going places together - then after the bids you maybe

scattered all over the ship decks apart.

I would say hang tight if nothing happens until 2 weeks before sailing

upgrading may not be in the cards - but then ?!?

The NCL BLISS is a H-U-G-E ship hang in there - about a third bigger

in guest capacity than the previous cruise ships in this market.

Lots and lots of cabins to fill - - -

Just an update. Our minimum bid was accepted for the balcony along with the other couples and we are two weeks out from sail date. Glad that is over. Now we can concentrate on packing.

Great for all of you.

Enjoy Seattle and your cruise.
