Is a dry dock scheduled for Konigsdam beginning on December 2? Cruisedeckplans.com says so, and there's a schedule gap between sailings. What could the ship need already?

Just a routine regular scheduled dry dock. Clean and paint hull and just replacing upgrading worn items. Maybe a few alterations to her present configurations.

HAL drydocks their ships every 25-30 months. Nothing unusual or worrisome about this.

 

Routine maintenance. Maybe fixes for things that are new to HAL on KDam, that need review or repair.

Probably bring the 'Music Walk' layout into line with the updated layout on Nieuw Statendam. and hopefully block off the staircase leading from Billboard on Board up to the Casino to stop smoke drifting downwards to the music areas.

 

Maybe even make the casino no smoking! (please!)

I'm still waiting to hear what they are doing with the old Billboard Onboard space on the Nieuw Statendam. Hopefully they've thought of a clever use of the space.
