Booking a Back To Back cruise

Thanks for the replies.

Is there anywhere I can find out the procedure at the end of the first cruise for those staying onboard? Thinking along the lines of rechecking in and possibility of having to move luggage to another stateroom.

You will receive TAD instructions a day or two prior to the end of the first leg (cruise) on where to meet, what time and what to bring. Are you planning on booking a different stateroom for the second leg? If not no packing required between legs.

After booking both cruises, call RCI (or have your travel agent do it) and they will note that you are a "Consecutive Cruiser".

You'll get a letter with instructions usually the second to last day of the first cruise (when everyone else is getting departure tags).  It varies based on how many are staying on, but generally speaking you'll be told where and when to report to be escorted down to CBP.  Usually at the end of the disembarking order.  You will then be the first back on board when boarding starts for the 2nd leg.

If changing cabins this can vary slightly ship to ship but often you'll be told to pack your luggage and belongings except for items hanging in the closet.  They'll move those for you.  You leave everything in the cabin and once cabins open up at 1pm you'll find your stuff in your new cabin.

You are allowed to bring 2 bottles of wine for each cruise (4 total).  In theory two will be taken when your board the first cruise and given to you at the start of the second cruise, but sometimes they just let you keep all 4 bottles.

All you should need to do is make sure when you board that you are recognized as a back to back cruiser. You will be provided instructions on what to do on turn around day. Normally, they gather all back to back cruisers together and process them as a group. You may even have a special lunch. If moving cabins, I believe they will move your luggage, you just need to have it packed.

If you have to move, leave everything in the closet on hangers and pack up everything else, your cabin attendant will move everything to your new room. I would let them know your staying on and also check with Guest Services during your first sailing that you are consecutive. A letter as mentioned will be in your room near the end of the first cruise giving you information on where to meet and the procedure for getting your new Sea Pass Card. Your acct on the first cruise will be closed and you will start with a new acct on the next one.
