B2B turn around day, what is the best thing to see in Venice?

We are doing a B2B in the Infinity, I want to know the options near the port that I should see, what I should not miss.

The ship arrives at 6:00AM and leaves at 5:00PM

Essentially you have all day, and Venice is not all that big, so you can walk all over the main portion of Venice. In fact, I would off get pretty early, like around 8, and beat some of the crowds to places like St Marks. We did that our last visit.

Early to St. Marks and the Basilica, then ride the water taxi to get an overview of the rest of the city.  Grab a late lunch and then head back to the port.  Enjoy!

I think the beauty of Venice is found on foot, getting away from the crowds of tourists.  I absolutely agree that you should get to St. Mark's first, as early as possible, and then get out of the area and wander, away from the masses.

Definitely walk through the Jewish Ghetto area of Venice - very quiet, wonderful memorial there too.

CruiserBruce has it right.  Get off early and take advantage of those first couple of hours to visit St. Marks Square and the nearby areas.

 

I also would visit the Jewish Ghetto as Host Grandma Cruising mentioned.  

 

Also just wander around up and down side streets and go where they take you. You will discover charming areas.

 

And sometime take the Gondola.  That will give you another perspective.

 

Have lunch in port so you don't waste time going back and forth to the ship.
