Where Does it Connect?: N/A Suite Details: Convenient location by the aft stairs and elevators. We liked the deck, not too far to go up to Luminae & the Retreat areas, nor too far to go down to the theater, martini bar, etc. We don't use the elevators, just stairs so we appreciate being in the relative middle. Advantages/Problems/Comments: We found the couch to be uncomfortable. Not sure if all the sofas are hard with no arms or if it was because it has a double sofa bed to sleep 4 in the cabin . Would You Book It Again?: Not sure, love the location but would prefer a more comfortable couch. In other words is the sofa closest to the balcony? Many thanks. Rather than a nasty, uninformed retort, I am happy to provide your answer (we were in 7315 on Apex last month---I think it's the same on Edge). Bed is closest to the entry, then the dressing area with sofa opposite, then a LARGE open space before the balcony. Which, BTW, is a foot or so wider than the balcony in 12265 (which we had the preceeding week).

Magic Carpet Issues?: It was very warm in the MC one day. Noise Issues?: Once heard thump-thump (bass music) from Eden (immediately below), but was never an issue. Wind Issues?: Only from the burritos. Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: Nope. Suite Details: Great location, closest cabin on the ship to the wake. Advantages/Problems/Comments: Great location, closest cabin on the ship to the wake. Easy / quick access to the deck 4/5/6 dining/shopping/entertainment areas. Mentioned this to Retreat Concierge and it improved slightly Wind Issues: None Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect: Sunset Verandah connected on the outside inside a small corridor. The connecting door was propped open but I never saw or heard my neighbors. No connection from inside of suite. Suite Details: One large living room/bedroom with large bathroom. 2 closets, lots of storage, mini fridge and couch. Large tub/shower combo. Vanity in bath, toilet separate behind frosted door. Two reclining deck chairs, two small chairs and small table on balcony Advantages/Problems/Comments: Great suite and size with a long walk to Lumaine and the Retreat. The moving of furniture from Oceanview café one deck up was problematic. Would You Book It Again?: Suite yes, room probably not, maybe an aft S1 on a lower deck if the price is not much more than a S2. My first preference would be a suite in the middle of the ship since the Retreat is all the way forward. Balcony Overhang?: Partial overhang; some shade depending on ship direction; very sunny mid-day. Magic Carpet Issues?: None Noise Issues?: None, very quiet cabin Wind Issues?: None Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: Not a connecting cabin. Suite Details: N/A Advantages/Problems/Comments: Very roomy cabin; this cabin is longer than the average cabin, with about 5 feet of extra space between the end of the sofa and the balcony door. Traditional balcony, not infinite veranda - very spacious, with room for 2 loungers in addition to the standard 2 chars & small table. Located at the very back of the ship, so a very long walk to the elevators. Minor issue with soot but not too bad. Would You Book It Again?: Would definitely book again on an E-Class ship for the traditional balcony and the very roomy cabin. CalTexCruiser Posted October 15, 2021 #171 Share Posted October 15, 2021 Date of Cruise: 9/25/2021 Ship: Apex Cabin #: Initially, 10122, 3 days later, 10150 Deck #: 10 Cabin Category: 10122 is S2, 10150 is S1 Cabin Location: 10122 is near front elevator bank, 10150 is near center of ship Bed Position: Faces balcony Balcony Type: Regular balcony Balcony/Window Size: As wide as the room Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: None Balcony Overhang?: None Magic Carpet Issues?: None in 10122. With 10150, folks on the Magic Carpet when on deck 14 can see the balcony if they are at the end of the Magic Carpet--but not a concern for us. Noise Issues?: 10122 (had noisy neighbors who partied late into the night and were chatting it up at 4am, and woke us up early every morning). We were moved to 10150 after complaining, and 10150 was extremely quiet. Wind Issues?: None Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: None Suite Details: Very comfortable suites--love the bed; nice bathrooms--love how there is a slider in the bathroom that opens up so we can see out the balcony from the bathroom. Easy access to the Retreat Lounge and Sun Deck up the front stairs or elevators. Advantages/Problems/Comments: None. With respect to the late partiers next to us, that is not something Celebrity can really control, except to move us away from them. Silkroad Posted November 5, 2021 #172 Share Posted November 5, 2021 Date of Cruise: 23 October 2021 Ship: Edge Cabin #: 10193 Deck #: 10 Cabin Category: S2 Cabin Location: Port side, adjacent to midship elevators Bed Position: facing veranda Balcony Type: standard Balcony/Window Size: standard sliding door Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: one thin pole that we hardly noticed Balcony Overhang?: no Magic Carpet Issues?: not applicable Noise Issues?: Occasional creaking from ship movement, but nothing loud or disturbing. Despite being near elevators, there was little noise from people awaiting or leaving the elevators. We sailed with only 1,300 passengers, so this could change with a full passenger load. Wind Issues?: no Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: no Suite Details: Bathroom mirror slides open to reveal a fixed window that overlooks the bed, veranda and sea. We thought this was a lovely feature that made the space seem even more spacious. Other than the tub/shower combo issues noted below, this is a very nicely designed bathroom. Advantages/Problems/Comments: Advantages: Midship location is convenient for going forward and up for Luminae and Retreat areas as well as either up or down to public areas located on upper and lower decks. The bed is quite comfortable. The toilet is located behind an opaque glass door within the bathroom, which makes sharing the bathroom more pleasant. Disadvantages: The veranda is not very deep or large. Dedicated sunbathers would find the corner aft S1 suites more pleasing. We missed the far more useful balcony furniture (bistro height table and chairs) we've had on Solstice and Millennium class ships. The closet has an annoying fixed lower rack that renders the already limited closet space less useful for those of us with longer clothing. This suite (like all the other Sky Suites) has a large tub/shower combo, which we dislike. We prefer walk in showers. While the tub doesn't have the high rim found in M class ships, I'd consider it a menace for anyone with mobility or balance issues. Further, the only grab bar is placed for persons climbing out of a bath. People taking a shower have no grab bar placed high enough to assist them. The large shampoo, conditioner and body wash containers are also placed in a tray at bath height. It would be nice if Celebrity added a grab bar and toiletry tray at appropriate heights for those of us who prefer showers. Would You Book It Again?: Absolutely. Despite some room for improvement, this is a beautiful, relaxing Sky Suite in a great location. Photos or Photo Links:
QuietPM Posted November 7, 2021 #173 Share Posted November 7, 2021 Date of Cruise: 30 October 2021 Ship: Edge Cabin #: 10253 Deck #: 10 Cabin Category: AQ Cabin Location: Port side, aft Bed Position: against bathroom wall Balcony Type: IV Balcony/Window Size: Standard IV Balcony/Window View/Obstruction: None Balcony Overhang?: No Magic Carpet Issues?: Not applicable Noise Issues?: Heard someone (child?) bouncing around from upstairs a few times but nothing major. Typical creaking from time to time. Believe that we were under 1,000 passengers. Wind Issues?: No Connecting Cabin? Where Does it Connect?: No Room Details: Standard aqua class. Advantages/Problems/Comments: Nothing particularly unique with this room. First time on Edge series and overall prefer the traditional balcony. As many others have noted IV is more of a window you can open than true balcony, and the fact that the AC leaves the room almost instantly (and takes a long time to come back) means we only opened it a few times. Not a big deal since we were rarely in the room but, if the ship were at capacity, I'd probably want to read in peace on my balcony rather than on deck. Bathroom is great (again, not unique to this room) and will definitely miss the shower. Would You Book It Again?: Despite my lack of enthusiasm for the IV concept I would book it again. Had a great time overall, no particular issues with this room. I'd probably choose a stern veranda in the future, though
fstuff1 Posted November 8, 2021 #174 Share Posted November 8, 2021 (edited) was in an IV, 7th fl aft next to the elevator. i think the sofa next to the IV is better than the bed. I liked sitting on the sofa looking out the window. in fact, i liked it better than sitting in the chair in the fake balcony section of the cabin. No Advantages/Problems/Comments: Advantage: it was an aft cabin, with a true balcony, which was oversized; we had a lounger in addition to the two standard chairs and table; while this balcony was narrower than most, it wasn't an issue. The room itself was also 2-3 feet longer than the IV. Disadvantage: there was rare soot, and rare minor noise from Eden. It was a long walk to the elevators, but that wasn't an issue for us.
