You are allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine per person over age 21. You are also allowed to bring up to a 12 pack of soda in cans per person.  Water would have to be in cans, no plastic bottles are allowed to be carried on.  All items will have to be packed in carry on luggage only. You can pre purchase water through the fun shops to be delivered to cabin.

The bottle of wine is limited to 750 ml. I brought a single magnum (1.5L) of a delightful Napa Cab on my first cruise and was stopped by the alcohol police. When they informed me of the limit, I pointed to my wife and said half was hers. They allowed me an exception.

Can the cans of soda be carried around the ship? Or do we need to also bring a drink container to pour the cans into?

You can carry your cans around the ship, to the casino, to dinner, shows, anywhere you want to go.

They are easily resealable with smuggled on liquids.

You can do the same with Boxed Water is Better cartons.  They're technically boxes, after all.  I'm sure they already know it, but hey.

Sometimes they allow it, some times not. Safest best is the stick with two separate 750 milliliter bottles,

We are happy to not have to carry the water on like before.  The 4.50 for 12 bottles of water is relatively cheap when you think about the convenience.  If the soda was that cheap, I would get a package but as it stands, it is better for me to carry that on.  I also carry on Red Bull and sparkling flavored water in cans.  I ask my room steward to keep my cooler iced all week and the drinks coming from the cooler are so refreshing .

We bring yeti, rtic or Tervis cups to avoid the constant refilling of the small cups but we use the wine glasses in the cabin when we walk around with wine and they can be left at any bar or table when you are done.  We also take drinks to the pool in the refillable mugs to avoid running back and forth to the cabin for refills.
