Hello Princess cruisers.

We are  sailing on the Star in March and our role call would like to set up a meet and greet.

Anyone recently set one up ? I usually am cruising Celebrity and it’s easy to sign up from

the cruise critic link....but we cannot see the same set up on the Princess role page.

I have searched here and am getting conflicting info.....and I have called Princess and no one

seems to know anything regarding this.

Can anyone get us going with current info ?...

thank you

Brockmom

It is very easy. You email the contact person for that ship- and let them know the number of people that will be attending. I typically hear back within a day or two.

I don't have the list, but if you do a quick search, it is pretty easy to find. (or some nice person here will post the list or the link...;) )

I just did this on the Coral in December. I don't have the name of the contact person for you but I will tell you that they will just give you a room. That's it! They don't supply anything for food or drink.

They will give you a list of things you can order and pay for.

Once on the ship I found that the maitre d would have been willing to do more for us(we had more than 40 people) but he didn't know about it ahead of time.

My suggestion would be to set up the Meet n greet with the contact person and then e mail the maitre d to see if he'd be willing to throw in something extra  for you. It is company policy to do nothing but each ship seems to have the authority to change that up a bit.

Yes, I also got some invitations and filled them out with the names of officers which I found on the Patter. I gave them to the front desk the on embarkation day. A whole bunch of them showed up at the Meet n Greet which was great because then for the whole cruise we knew the Hotel Officer, the Head of Guest Relations, the maitre d etc. etc. Those are very useful people to know on a ship!!

Your princess contact is Diana Hall at dhall@princesscruises.com.  She setting one up for me on the 314 Santiago to LA portion. If you wanna do skywalker lounge I suggest you get in contact with her right away. Were doing the 1st sea day at 11:00 a.m.. And our numbers have really grown exponentially.

I’ve  never seen any information reported as to how you contact these people. Everything I’ve done is through the Rep for the Princess Ship 🚢 I’m going on.

I sent an email to the princess rep  for the Regal on Jan 8 and have not heard anything back.  I called the 1-800 number for Princess and was told my TA had to make the arrangements.  Is that true?  I didn't think to ask my TA to do this.  Has anyone else run across this?

Thanks for any help.

That is CLEARLY not true!

Using Tom's list to get the reps phone number, call Lawrence  Andrade at 661 -284-4445. I've now done this twice this year and I've not run into the problem that you are talking about either time.

If that doesn't work ask Diana if there's a new rep (or corporate at 1-800-872-6779 x 30317).  Diana is the only one I found who answers within 24 hours

Update:  Regal Princess has a new contact person

Berna Grayr  <bgrayr@princesscruises.com>

Group Onboard Service Coordinator

Regal Princess and Coral Princess

Hours: 7:30 am - 4:15 pm, Monday - Friday

I did not get a phone #.

Also, this was included in the email:

All passengers are responsible for their own drinks.  You have been named as the escort for this request.  You will be receiving a confirmation in your cabin, however, it will be your responsibility to advise the other passengers when and where the Meet and Greet will take place.  Please let me know if the number of passengers attending this event changes so that we will have the appropriate bar staff.

If a guest is booked on a promotion that includes the All Inclusive Beverage Package or Premier Beverage Package, or if a guest purchases the Premier Beverage Package, then they will not be able to use this promotion at this venue.  These packages cannot offset the cost of, or be a substitution for special or private events, such as cocktail parties or similar functions.

If you intend to invite any Senior Officers to attend the Meet & Greet, the staff onboard the Regal Princess has requested that you bring formal personal invitations to the Passenger Service Desk.  They will help you address the invitations and send them out to the respective Officers.

I'll check with the Maitre d'Hotel once onboard to see if we can get any goodies!

I get a packet or two of party invites and address them to the officers. I drop them at the front desk the day I board.

Yeah!  I did that last cruise and none of them were delivered!  First time that happened.  I was pretty PO'd.

Tom, have you asked CC Moderators to pin the thread? There's a new thread re: difficulty reaching correct department on CC. Your list solves it all for many of us

Which staff members do you invite to M&M?

I invite ALL of the officers. Since Princess no longer provides this list I contact the thread prior to my cruise & ask if someone can copy the front page of 1st day Patter that has this information. This is what I use.

If I see the Cruise Director prior to our meeting I make sure their aware of the date & time.

I have various templates that I use & if you email me at trbarton743 at aol dot com I’ll send you what I have.

If you have a large group, you can request a cordless microphone. They always tell me there will be a $10 charge put on my onboard account, but they have never charged it.

And they have always charged us!
