Hal Rotterdam Aft Pool

Rotterdam no longer has an aft pool.  It was removed and what HAL calls a "retreat" area was put in.  There are these wavy poolettes -- hold about 3 inches of water in them -- and there are loungers in this area.

Under this new area more cabins were added.

Only pool left is the Lido pool.

Does the Rotterdam have an aft pool? If so, is it heated. Considering a Northern European trip and love to paddle around outside.

yes, it's beautiful, you can sit ankle deep in it..

The Retreat pool area was remodeled during the November 2017 drydock. Most of the shallow pool was covered by teak decking. The small curved section remains and is flanked by two new spa tubs. The curved pool area is about 4-5 feet wide and maybe a foot deep. I did see a few folks sitting in the pool to cool off.

The area does look nice but I still would prefer a regular pool on the back of the ship.

Aft Lido Pool ms Rotterdam 2018

Retreat Rotterdam 2018.jpg

I’m confused by this pic.  I was on the Rotterdam in 2018 and spent some time at the Retreat.  The way they have this pic makes it look like the bar area is by the round area.  From the bar you see the shallow pool where the loungers are.

Here are my pics from the retreat area ( I did contribute them so I think it’s ok to use):

I thought it was quite funny they still had the sea view pool sign up (pic #3).
