Cruise Music Playlist

I was driving into work this morning and heard Sail Away by the Commodores.  That got me thinking that maybe I should start a cruise playlist for when I cruise Alaska this August.  I like all kinds of music - Country, Contemporary Christian, Classic Rock, Hair Bands, etc.  so tell me what is one or two songs you always want on your cruise playlist.

"Ulili E" by  Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole (or almost anything else Iz does).

Want that "other" ocean? "Groovemaster" by Arrow (or anything from his Knock Dem Dead album)

Zac Brown Band: Toes
Paul Baribeau: Ten Things

Alan Jackson: It's Five O'Clock Somewhere
Queen: Seaside Rendezvous
Kenny Chesney: No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems
The Beatles: Good Day Sunshine
Walk Off the Earth: Summer Vibe
Julie London: By the Beautiful Sea

I'll be honest, my playlist is called Island...  It includes a lot of Reggae and Hawaiian music to match my cruises.  :)  When we go to Alaska I'll have to come back to this post!

Check out really anything by Mishka (which is pretty mellow), the Aqualads for surfing type music...

Big Ship Sailing by Freddie McGregor

Don't Worry, Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin

Good Old Days by Ziggy Marley

Here Comes The Sun -- the one by Peter Tosh

Life by Sly & Robbie & Spicy Chocolate featuring Skip Marley

Lighthouse by Ziggy Marley

Lost at Sea by The Steppas

Ocean is My Potion by Mishka featuring Jimmy Buffett

Lucky Guy by Roy Jay

Like there is absolutely NO MUSIC played anywhere on the ship. 😄

But YES, use your headphones or earbuds.

Agreed!  My playlist is actually for pre-cruise -- e.g., playing in the car in the days leading up to departure.  Gets us even more excited for the trip.  I've never listened to my own music during sailaway.

Whatever the playlist, I sure hope it's being played through your headphones.  Or do you inflict it on your fellow guests?

Seriously?  I have two big subwoofer speakers I am putting in my checked luggage to set up on my balcony!!  Everyone on the ship and in port will get to hear my playlist!  Motley Crue and Judas Priest for all!!

This will more likely be played before and while flying...I don't think I have ever gotten out my Ipod on one of my cruises yet but did listen to it during the flight.  And to get ready to go!!

Thank you all for the answers.  I just thought it would be a fun post to see what everyone considered their favorite cruising music.  Of course I will have my earbuds, and I know there is music all over the ship.  For those of you that answered thanks!  For the rest...

Too bad I am at work, it's 5:00 somewhere!!

And GO CHIEFS!!!!!
