Canceling 1/4 before final payment?

I have booked my family of 4 for a NYE cruise on the Explorer this year.  My son may not be able to come depending on if he has a new job.  If we cancel him before final payment do they still reprice the cabin?  The cost of the cruise has gone up by over 30% since we booked.  We booked a refundable fare.

We've successfully cancelled the third person in a cabin without getting repriced. Have read others here reporting the opposite. You can cancel 3rd or 4th person up to 2 weeks before sail date. If they insist on repricing at that point, simply don't cancel, and have him be a no show. Taxes and port fees will be refunded.

Can you cancel 3rd/4th person up to two weeks out and still get full refund?

From what I have been told if the reservation was a refundable deposit then the 3/4 guests can be cancelled up until the final penalty phase (this has changed to 30 days from 15) without penalty

For  non refundable deposits guests 3/4 follow the same cancellation penalties as guests 1 and 2.

Call and ask "If we remove guest #3, what happens?".  Hang up and think about it.  The call is free.

To this I would add: Repeat 5 times and average the answers.

Did not realize that had changed. Our last cruise was just 7 months ago, but was booked more than a year prior. They can't leave anything alone. Lol [emoji2357]
