* ms Oosterdam in Port Everglades - Sail a Way - March 16th, 2019*

Hope no one was going through withdrawal waiting for the next sail a way!  It's been a few days but there are 6 ships in port for this day and one of them is a blue hulled beauty.

 

The Oosterdam is scheduled to be at pier 26 and will be doing 2 itineraries.

 

The first one is the 7 day Tropical Caribbean:

 

 Fort Lauderdale, Florida (16 Mar d1700); Key West, Florida (17 Mar 0800-1600); Amber Cove, Dominican Republic (19 Mar 0800-1700); Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos (20 Mar 0800-1700); Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (22 Mar 0800-1500); Fort Lauderdale, Florida (23 Mar a0700)

 

 

And the 2nd is the 14 day Tropical/Western Caribbean:

 

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (16 Mar d1700); Key West, Florida (17 Mar 0800-1600); Amber Cove, Dominican Republic (19 Mar 0800-1700); Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos (20 Mar 0800-1700); Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (22 Mar 0800-1500); Fort Lauderdale, Florida (23 Mar 0700-1700); Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (24 Mar 0800-1600); Falmouth, Jamaica (26 Mar 0800-1700); George Town, Grand Cayman (27 Mar 0800-1600); Cozumel, Mexico (28 Mar 1100-2300); Fort Lauderdale, Florida (30 Mar a0700

 

Other ships in port are the Majesty Of The Seas (pier 18), Celebrity Infinity (pier 25), Carnival Conquest (pier 04), Caribbean Princess (pier 02) and Adventure Of The Seas (pier 29).

No other sailings for this day that I am aware of.

 

Next up are the Niew Statendam and Koningsdam (Port Everglades) & Nieuw Amsterdam (San Diego) on March 17th.

I just hope the tooting is as good as the Prinsendam and Veendam had a couple of days ago.

 

Note that Prinsendam will be on Aruba camera March 22.

For the early birds who like to watch the ships sail in, the Oosterdam is scheduled to arrive about 5:30 AM.

As to the Prinsendam, I have it noted for the day it applies.  We do have a few sail a ways between now and then 😉 

 

I will confess that I will be happy to turn the job back over to Kathi for sure BUT the plus for me is I get to do the Prinsendam's final sail a way out of Fort Lauderdale.

This may be truly the ship's final sailaway from Ft. Lauderdale.  From what I see on cruisetimetables, she will next appear on one of Lou & Daves cameras in Aruba January 22 but when Phoenix Reisen visits the area it will likely be to Miami.

Hi everyone!  Does the Oosterdam always dock at Pier 26?  I will be onboard her next Saturday for the 7 day Tropical cruise.  We have our documents and luggage tags now!!

Yes she usually docks there.

 

Looking at the port schedule, she is scheduled to dock at 26 next Saturday.
