Pre Cruise Hotel San Pedro

Hello Everyone 

We will be sailing on the Star Princess on May 9 out of San Pedro however we will be flying in the night before the cruise.   We won't be into Lax till about 10 pm any good suggestions for the San Pedro area or around the Airport for a good Hotel

Doubletree and Crown Plaza

We stayed at the Crowne  Plaza in Jan.  Very close to the cruiseport and nany decent restaurants nearby.

Thanks  so many hotels in the area just want to make sure we pick a good one.  Did you take a taxi or did you use uber

I was just on the Grand, stopped in San Pedro, took a shuttle to down town area, very poor, many places to eat in the area but I would not wander around after 10 pm..  Just a point of caution.    You will probably get others who respond differently.   I  live near San Francisco, was surprised at how poor the area looked near the port in San Pedro.

My two cents. If you land at 10, Pedro will be after 12. Pick a hotel close to LAX and get there by shuttle. Next AM go down to port after good sleep

We just stayed at Doubletree Torrance. Excellent hotel, 15-20 mins from port, and half the  price of Doubletree San Pedro.  

No cruise crowds in the AM to contend with, very good buffet breakfast for $18.95 pp plus tax, or you can purchase a breakfast pkg. 

No charge for parking or WiFi (for those who drive.
