Grandma & Grandpa taking 8 grandkids (young adults) on the Carnival Paradise 4 night cruise in July.  Everyone is excited and looking forward to winning some "ships on a stick" prizes.  Wondering if anyone could advise us of the Trivia Topics.

I was really just looking for a "General" comment.......like 80's music or Star Wars Trivia....that kind of thing.

As Aplmac stated, with the advent of getting new topics from the internet almost every cruise, the topics are up to the staff. We were on 6 cruises last year and almost all had different topics (even on the B2B the topics varied from one week to the next). Most cruises did have a Harry Potter and/or a Disney Music Trivia.

I have even witnessed the Cruise Director

soliciting what next should be the Music Trivia show,

asking the crowd what genre of music they'd want the next show to be.

 

It's THAT random

- and has to be, so you don't know in advance of your cruise!

Thanks to all who responded...And to Philly Fan... OH yes lots of things planned.  In fact the 2 recent 21 yr. olds have announced they can't wait to try their luck at the casino....HA! HA! let's see how fast they give up when they lose.. so grandma told them she is going to cash in her large container of change she has been saving & will host a slot pull.  They thought that was great!

I don't watch any of those shows and don't go to those trivia games. I like the general ones. Not sports.

Just back from 5 day to Cuba.  We had 3 days of trivial pursuit, Friends, Game of thrones, Sports trivia every day, Cuba trivia, Fairy Tales, Golden Girls,  General knowledge and a few more I can't recall right now.  But it does depend on the CD and the Fun Squad what trivia they do during the week.

I hate to disappoint, but I thought I read something a while back they were doing away with the ship on a stick.  Kind of bummed as I always come home with at least one from each cruise I've been on.

Not sure where you read that, but it’s not true. Carnival actually just came out with newly designed ships on a stick. The first time I saw the new ones were on Horizon last month.

The only Trivia I went to on the Pride Journey cruise last November was Harry Potter. I tied for 1st so I have my  24 ct gold plastic piece of ship on a stick!!

You only have one from Pride. Now you need to get one from the other current 25 ships. 😊

Motown, 90s trivia, and tv show trivia is popular. I didn’t make it to any trivia on my last cruise but it is so fun.  I like the movie trivia that they do also.  The CD seems to enjoy doing this so much!

I sure hope that you are able to win a "ship-on-a-stick" during your cruise. And if you do win, treasure it like a valuable item. We just returned from a Royal Caribbean cruise 2 weeks ago and I won a trivia game. You now what the prize was? A key chain! But they told us that if we won 20 key chains, we could exchange it for a highlighter! Not kidding. My 14 "ships-on-a-stick" just doubled in valuable.

I just got off the Breeze and there were no Ships on a Sick for trivia.  Now use the medallions.  I went to several trivia games and none got the SOAS.  I won the General Knowledge Trivia one morning and got the medallion.
