I talked to my TA today (Tampa area) and she indicated they expect heavy rain tomorrow.

Thanks Roy! That  Balearia Caribbean super cat-ferry Jaume II is in port today in between her run to Freeport

I'll be here for a while.  I'm going to get my hair cut at 3 - I last got it done before we went to get on the Prinsendam (mid-February) in BA and I'm finally needing another cut.  She really chopped it all off, I won't get that done again...

Lots of ships are coming to the west coast - we had our first cruise ship of the season last week - the Celebrity Eclipse. I haven't been checking Juneau, but I guess it will be busy soon.

Juneau gets her first ship on May 1 but the first HAL ships don't show up until Monday, 6 May.

First ship in is Ruby Princess on Apr 28 - a Sunday.

First HAL Ships are NA and Eurodam on Monday, May 6th - Oostie is the next day. That is the start of the season in Juneau.

I've sailed Blount's Grande Caribe (about the same size) from Boston to Quebec and it was quite 'interesting' at times.

Bet it was; she/they look like they're built more for inner water ways

Majesty doesn't appear to have "modern" tenders

Do they have tenders at all?  I thought it was just lifeboats.  I think they sail pretty limited itineraries where the only way a tender is used is if it's available from shore.

Could very well be because tendering with a dedicated lifeboat is no day at the beach! It does limit where she can go however
