Anyone just off Freedom?

We did a B2B 3 March and 10 March 2019. No complaints or problems. Like always we had a great time on and off the Freedom. I take that back. On the second morning of the second leg of the cruise the jerks in the cabin next to us decided their balcony was their private smoking lounge. Nope. One call to GS took care of that stinky problem.

Waiting and waiting for feedback from Freedom passengers! Would love to hear about recent experiences!!!

I assume you will be cruising on her in the future. When? She's going into dry dock for a major overhaul next January so she will be a completely different ship from what she is now..

Have not been on Freedom in a long time!  Cannot wait to sail on her out of PR late September.  Then after the first she goes to dry dock and we will be on her again in April 2020, a B2B in Oct 2020 and again in April 2021.  Love, love, love the Southern Caribbean, especially Antigua, St Lucia and Barbados!!!!

Just off yesterday. Excellent service. Had a great time. Fastest on and off the ship ever! If you have any  specific questions I'll try to answer.

Any recommendations for entertainment venues?( not in theater) Anything we don't want to miss? How is the general temperature of the ship in the evening? I have been on some cruises that were literally so cold that it wasn't enjoyable. (Packing now and deciding what makes the cut!) When did you get underway from SJ? That is my favorite sail away.

We were onboard by 11:00 AM. Cabins were ready by 1:00 PM. Sail away is at 8:30 PM. Muster is at 5:45 PM. If the aerial team of Peter and LLDIKO are still performing in the Arcadia theater go see them. The Crazy Quest is always a must for us. We found a lot of the Star Lounge shows and activities good to excellent. Deck 11 had the big screen and showed movies at 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM. We passed on those. Adult karaoke was in the On Air Club from 9:30 to 10:30 PM. Our cabin AC was in excellent working condition. At night if we turned it in all the way down in the blue you could have used our cabin as a meat locker. If your diamond or above we found the DL to be nicer than the CL. We did a B2B in March and at that time the CD was Patricio Honores. We liked him.

The last time we sailed out of San Juan was 5 years ago but will again twice in the next year.  We have early dining which is scheduled for 6pm.  How can muster be at 5:45 and still get to dinner?

They pushed all dining times back to accommodate the 5:45 muster.  TD and MTD both started at 6:30 PM and second seating TD stared at 8:45 PM only on the evening of embarkation. This was the schedule on both legs of our B2B cruise.

Ice show was excellent, the quest is always a fun show, 70's dance party is a fun show in the promenade.I thought the temp of the ship was comfortable. 8:30 sail away. Besides coastal kitchen, the best service in dining venues of any of my cruises so far. Crew was excellent. Arrived at port at 11:15, was on ship by 11:25. couldn't believe  how fast it was. Disembarking was just as fast. Once my number was called, walked right off ship and didn't stop until I got in a cab.(use a porter, well worth the $20)

Thank you everyone for taking the time to share your experiences!! I truly appreciate it! The lack of "chatter" has been un-nerving. Any food or cocktail recommendations? Are cordials still available after dinner? Need to make good use of our beverage package! Is it true that the slots are looser the first night? Anyone know if the casino has video roulette?

One food recommendation I'll make (just off Freedom yesterday) is that the best steak on the ship hands-down is at Giovannis, not Chops.

One tip to maximize your drinks experience - when the bars on the pool deck are crowded head over to the Windjammer bar which is on the same deck. Even with the extra walk you can save a few minutes this way. I never experienced a line up of more than 30 seconds there. Seemed like there were always 2 or 3 bartenders, even at off-peak times.

Can't tell you anything about the Casino, sorry!

Overall, Freedom is in fabulous condition, and the staff we encountered were second-to-none.
