Was notified by TA that my credit was applied.  Didn’t hear from Holland America.

How long ago was that and how long did it take? I'll email my TA and ask her to take a look for me.

I faxed on Apr 24.  I called my TA on May 1 and she said it was posted on my account.

You really do not need a form (we have not used one for over ten years).  We simply Fax a copy of our latest brokerage statement (blacking out items not relevant) and a short cover letter rquesting the stockholder credit and giving our names, booking number, ship and date.

We were told a few years ago by HAL to put all of the information on one page since the cover letter can be separated from the following verification on page two.

.. I ask my broker to send me the annual report and the proxy and just create a half sheet from the proxy and state all of my cruise information on the other half (names, booking #,  # of days and description, name of ship, beginning and ending dates, and what I expect to receive in OBC). Big print, easy to read.. Add Please confirm to (e-mail address). My name and phone #.. Thank you.. In April I submitted using last year’s fax # and  I got confirmation in a couple of hours.

I finally got an email from HAL confirming that my OBC had been applied. They said "We sincerely apologize for the delay in response due to high call volumes over the past week.  We thank you for your patience in processing your request."

Has the fax number changed for HAL? I have tried 206-201-2620 and it has been busy the past two days.

The current form has 206 501 2620. I'd be surprised if there is a 201 exchange in any area code since its a very common area code (NJ).

Neither number worked for me, both busy signals multiple times. The 206-201-2620 number is on the current Carnival Corporation & PLC Shareholder Benefit page in their annual report.

So I went back to the number I have been using for years 206-281-0627 and the OBC appeared on my Guest Booking Confirmation which was sent to be via email within 2 hours of the fax. Go figure. I don't know what to say.

This is cut and pasted from the Shareholder Benefits Page 2019-2020.pdf file. And I just called it and got a fax tone. On the other hand, a 2 hour turnaround is outstanding! It took me a week and I sent mine a few weeks ago! So maybe that number you used is the way to go!

Have a great Holiday weekend!

I've never sailed on Princess and you're in the HAL area so I'm not sure if anyone will have experience. I haven't been doing this for a long time with them but haven't had a form when I did. Oceania did have a form to fill out, but that's NCL.

That is not what the shareholder benefit document says, it has the same instructions for all of the Carnival owned brands.

The benefit is applicable on sailings through July 31, 2020 aboard the brands listed below. Certain restrictions apply. Applications to receive these benefits should be made at least three weeks prior to cruise departure date.

This benefit is available to shareholders holding a minimum of 100 shares of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc. Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer. This benefit is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash and, cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account. Only one onboard credit per shareholder-occupied stateroom. Reservations must be made by February 28, 2020.

Please provide by fax or by mail your complete legal name, reservation/booking number, ship and sailing date, along with proof of ownership of Carnival Corporation or Carnival plc shares (for example, photocopy of shareholder proxy card, a dividend tax voucher or a current brokerage or nominee statement with your brokerage account number blacked out) no later than 3 weeks prior to your sail date to your travel agent or to the cruise line you have selected below.

Just finished talking to Princess.  There IS a form.  I've done it on all my Princess cruises

I'm sure that people in the Princess forum will be more interested to hear that than people in the HAL forum.

Sorry, didn't realize I was on Holland site1

Me bad!!!!

BTW I found a thread in the Princess board and many people say that the form is not required and they do not bother with it. They just submit the information requested on the Carnival shareholder benefit document (name, ship, sail date, reservation #, phone/email and of course proof of ownership).

Is there a way to tell if the credit has been applied? I sent it in a few days ago and didn't get an email. On Princess.com I can see the credit under the "Payments and Credits"  tab. I can't find anything like that for Holland or Carnival.

When I fax my info in, I request a confirmation email be sent.  I print out that email and bring it to the ship with me.  It's worked well for many cruises.

I emailed mine in late last week and it took until yesterday to get the confirming email. I think they must have been backed up because in the recent past, it took them 2-4 hours to sent the confirming email. If you booked directly with HAL you can find your total OBC in the Make payments section of your record. If you book with a TA you do not have access to that part of your record.

Just a suggestion (based on lots of personal experience) to take a copy of your Shareholder Request paperwork...when you go on your cruise.  Check your onboard account after the first 2 or 3 days and if you do not have the credit applied you just pay a visit to Guest Relations with your documentation (and related paperwork).  The Onboard staff will then contact the home office and you will usually have your credit within a couple of days.
