Hotel recommendations near Port of Miami?

We are flying into fll will arrive around 930pm the night before our cruise. We thought about just staying in ft Lauderdale but thinking about just heading on to a hotel in miami near the port. I see intercontinetial and Kimpton epic have rooms within reason. Any others to take a look at? A bay view would be nice to wake up to!

Intercontinetial is a great hotel.

I booked the Regency Hotel----sail and stay package.  Free airport shuttle, price includes transportation to cruise center in Miami

Doubletree and the next door Marriott offer some rooms with a view of the port.

Double tree and Marriott are both booked for our dates unfortunately.

Also doubletree has balconies,booked a very large king suite for a reasonable price with harbor view . Going in November

Huh? Wha?

 

OP is arriving late evening to Ft Lauderdale airport. Rather than recommend a PortMiami area hotel as they requested you would have them divert to a hotel that is literally right on top of the exit ramps from Miami Airport. Hardly a substitute for their hoped-for bay view, shuttle or no shuttle.

Actually doubletree is not full! We might try that! They have a bayview king or Jr suite partial bay view that's even a little less.

For those who have stayed at doubletree.  2 questions.....bayview king vs Jr suite partial bayview? And what is the nightly CC incidentals hold?

We have stayed at the Marriott and the Holiday Inn....Would recommend both...they are close to the port...and you can see the ships in the morning...Have a wonderful trip!

In March this year, our early flight to FLL cancelled 4 days prior due to Boeing Max problem. SW rescheduled us on a flight arriving very late the night prior to cruise. We opted to just stay near FLL rather than paying more at Holiday Inn POM. We love location of the HI - pom with Bayside Marketplace right there, but we arrived so late just needed a place to sleep. Arranged shuttle to port, and was fine. Saved us a little money and southwest gave us voucher. Whichever way you choose to go, have a great cruise!

We are driving down and planning on staying 2 nights before the cruise.  Any recommendations for a resort type hotel where we could spend the day relaxing by a pool or on the beach?  Since we are driving, we can expand our search to include the Ft. Lauderdale / Hollywood area.

Margaritaville in Hollywood, between ALL and Miami!
