Yes!

1) Does the Coral have a Sushi bar or Sushi on the ship?

2) Does smoke from the Casino float over to the International Cafe?

Thank you!

I did not smell any smoke in the Cafe or Casino last night. I will investigate the 🍣. Bobbi

Yes we have at times smelled smoke from the casino while in the IC.

Have never seen a sushi bar. Maybe some set up in the buffet at times during the cruise.

Any menus would be great - still trying to track them down for this year. If you go to the Crab Shack or Specialty Restaurants too. Thanks!

Have a great trip!

Thanks for taking questions!  Are you south or north bound?  I'll be south bound in Aug and am wondering what the morning exercise classes may be.  Can you please post pictures of the patters?  It will be most helpful for me extending my vacation planning fun.  Can't hardly wait to be back in Alaska!

I'd be interested in learning what Alaska oriented entertainment and activities there are on Coral Princess.

If you are sailing southbound, a description of the MDR situation for the evening the ship sails from Whittier would be appreciated.

Thanks for your willingness to assist us future Coral Princess guests!

Omigosh, thank you, mrell345! ~*Lou*~ in his trip thread said someone had posted the menus from their northbound trip this year but I did all the searches I could think of with Coral and menus and even searched trip reports through the beginning of May and nothing came up!

We are trying to decide between the Coral and Royal for our AK cruise. Do you feel the Coral spends enough time in Glacier Bay? Also, do you recommend a Deck for our cabin? The only things pulling me to the Royal is my husband may actually need internet to do some work (I've read the Coral's internet service is very poor) and we will have two 22 year olds with us. Thank you!

I have sailed on Royal Princess, but not on Coral.  I chose Coral for my July cruise because Royal's open deck space for sightseeing is limited in my opinion.  Coral's deck plan as well as others who have sailed on her seem to agree in comparison to Royal Princess.

Coral was my first Princess ship I sailed and still my favorite, even after 2 more sailings on her and 6 other Princess ships all over the world.  Unfortunately,  I've also had to work while on vacation and just work offline and then post when we hit land.  Most of the cruise terminals have free wi-fi(ask when you get to the local info desk upon landing and the crew know where the best spots are too).  Posting from sea is possible, but can be slow.  I would recommend the unlimited data plan and just leave the post running while out and about the ship if he has to work during a sea day.  Note:  I do not recommend finding a notary in Ketchikan and post a Fed-x prior to an excursion.  It can be really crazy, just saying.

As for the time in Glacier Bay, yes, the captain gets as close as allowed and turns the ship slowly so people with balconies on both sides of the ship can see.  Coral also has the promenade all the way around for covered viewing(not too crowded since most people are on the Lido oe Sun decks, or you can stake out a spot on one of several "secret" deck spots Coral has.

The basketball court, a little putt-putt course, pizza on deck, Crooners, and Sabatini's are a few of the other things that might keep the 22-yr olds as happy as they do for this much older cruiser.  Plenty of late night options too if they are night owls.

Hope you have a great cruise,

Susan

After endless research, we chose the Coral for our cruise to Alaska.  We are very glad we did because she is a lovely, classy little ship with more public space than most ships.  We booked Baja 310 (port side for southbound Voyage of the Glaciers in May). Our balcony was the last cabin on the first bump out so it has a panoramic view. Yes,  people can see you, but they were respectful and you're in Alaska so it’s not like you’re lounging on your balcony in a bikini anyway. Take a look at exterior images because upper balconies look over lower ones and they aren’t all covered. Baja is a sandwich deck and is very quiet. We were near the elevator and never heard any additional noise.

Definitely Coral Princess for Alaska. Plenty of deck space!

Reports of internet on Royal Princess is not that good either.

Are the doors to the front open deck on Caribe and Baja open for anyone to go out there?  I'm thinking of booking one of the forward minis and would like to be able to access that open area.  We had one for the Panama Canal on the Island and loved it.  Is it open while the ship is underway?

What is your advice on the bump out rooms? From the diagram, the balconies look much smaller. Looking at the Caribe Deck.434501049_ScreenShot2019-06-23at1_31_04PM.png.341005fc90b548d05f9ba919ad8496fc.png

when we did our panama cruise on coral we had C622 bumpout and loved it, great views forward and to the side

Yes they are and I spent a lot of time out there on Baja deck.
