I KNOW that football season is a long way off. But I am just planning in case my favorite team (GO PACK GO) makes it to the playoffs. Where on the JOY would I be able to watch the games?

Thanks.

All nationally televised games are shown, which should include all playoff games.  The only time you may not be able to see your team of choice is during the regular season Sunday afternoon games, where 1-2 games are shown at random.

1st Packer game is against Houston on the 8th of August-- 16 days away.

Whatever the satellite feed is, games are shown all over the ship especially during the playoffs and the Super Bowl.

We're hoping to be watching the Packers in the Super Bowl when our cruise sets sail out of Miami on Super Bowl Sunday.  Although I'm not pleased with what it's costing us for a one night hotel stay the night before.  We were lucky to get something  under $300.  And very glad to be taking advantage of the reduced airfare out of Green Bay.  $99 !!  Can't beat it.   I think I need to get a new Packer shirt for the occasion.

Yes, we have watched American Football playoff games.  They are in the stateroom TVs as well as in OSheens, etc.  We got to see the NHL Playoffs and Football on our current trip.

I'm leaving on a 11 day next January 11th, so I'll be on the ship for the second round and the conference championships.  I'm hoping to be seeing my Boys return to glory.  Maybe they will host the Pack in Jerry World.  I was cruising this year while the NBA and NHL playoffs were happening.  The one sports channel did show a game (sometimes two) every night.  This is the same channel that is shown in the staterooms as well as o'sheenhans, the casino bar and the humidor.  I'm a cigar smoker so the humidor was a nice spot to watch the games for me.  This was on the breakaway.  And since the football games are played one at a time, I'm guessing we'll be able to watch each one.  They don't have to choose between competing games.

Regular season you'll only see the Sunday game(s) that are nationally broadcast on Fox, CBS, NBC, etc. plus the Monday & Thursday night games in all the lounges, bars, etc. where there's a TV.  Ditto your cabin.  Other Sunday regular season regional games will not available.  This has been the case on every NCL ship I've ever been on.

During the NFL playoffs you'll see all the playoff games.  Ditto the Super Bowl.

Sometimes you'll see a game that has significant "local" interest.  For example, we were on the Gem out of NYC a number of years ago in mid-December & they broadcast a NY Giants/NY Jets game.  This was a late season game with HUGE playoff implications for the NYG that took place on a Saturday so it may also have been a "national" game.  In any event it was a lot of fun to watch.  A large crowd was in Maltings bar on the Gem (Deck 6, I think) with the Giants fans all grouped around one TV & the Jets fans all grouped around another with good-natured bantering & ribbing being exchanged between the two groups.

It's always a lot more fun watching an NFL game in a crowd!  Hope you have a good cruise and hope your Packers do better this season...unless they're playing the NY Giants, of course!  lol

Not to be a downer, but I've always found sports coverage to be hit or miss. Sailed Escape last fall when BoSox and Yankees were playing crucial series. All we got what tennis, rugby, soccer or Australian rules football.

You might want to cozy up to the Cruise Director to confirm programming. I didn't enjoy my cigar as much missing the games I wanted to see.
