Halloween Costumes in MDR

Do the ships only decorate for Halloween and do all the fun things for the cruise that falls on Halloween, or longer?

One was said with a costume on and the other without a costume.

We had several people tell us how much they enjoyed our costumes, including staff. We plan on doing different costumes each cruise.

I can see it now. A pair of pearl clutchers having their night ruined because instead of tuxes, there are people having fun in costumes. THE NERVE ON MY VACATION!

A few years ago we were on RCI during Halloween. This was an Australian itinerary. They encouraged passengers to wear their costumes to dinner. There were 4 of us traveling together and we dressed up as The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1, 2 and 3. Our British table mates did not appreciate how we dressed!😅 We had a great time and won 1st place in the Costume Contest!

I can see why. I grew up with these kinds of Halloween masks. I'd make a terrible mess trying to eat my melting chocolate cake through there.

He got a lot of attention too!

I think Halloween costumes are fine anywhere on the ship at Halloween.

That includes the MDR.

I think adults wearing "costumes" on an ordinary cruise are a bit strange but hey it is their vacation and they are not hurting anyone!!

I wonder if those same folks would wear those outfits at a hotel on land??

Ditto!  When I did a Halloween cruise, people dressed up before dinner and went to the MDR that way.  It was so fun and a lot of people dressed up!  Great photo ops!

Raffitsea you are right it was our vacation and we had a ball.   Some in our group was a little hesitant at first but had a great time doing this.  We try and do some things outside the box.  It makes life and cruises fun.

Yes! I went dressed in full mermaid to the MDR last year.
