Crossing my fingers for Ocean Cay

We are sailing in January and are looking forward to visiting Ocean Cay.  I just checked out the location of the island near Bimini and it looks like it could really be impacted by Dorian.

Yes, I thought of that as well.  I sail on MSC Meraviglia in January and really have low expectations of a visit to their new resort.

We sail to Ocean Cay 3 times in December and not counting on it now.  Will wait to see what happens.

Looks to be north of Bimini / Nassau.

The port of Nassau looks so deserted with just one ship 😞.

 

I agree, Ocean Cay (along with Half moon Cay) seem to be the cruise ship islands farthest away the center of Dorian. In fact, yhe latest track has Ocean Cay out of the Hurricane Warning area entirely. Prime Minister of Bahamas has issued evacuation for the northern islands only (Grand Bahama, Freeport). Castaway Cay remains in the Dorian's current path. Great Stirrup Cay and Coco Cay are just outside of the shaded warning area.
