Price Drop 3 weeks Out

My cruise price dropped, but when we booked we received free airfare. We have an ocean view room. Do you think we can get sn OBC or upgrade, but can’t loose free airfare?

You can try .... many cruises industry wide drop in price for last minute pricing for the last couple weeks. Everyone on board every ship is goIng to want money or OBC. They owe you nothing but you could call.... only way to find out.

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I would think upgrade is definitely out, but you might get OBC. But they could say no since the fares aren't comparable since no airfare.

My cruise went down $300.  They offered me one time offer of $75 OBC. I had to email my cruise planner several times before "the revenue department" granted the credit. 

I did not have airfare

I have seen numerous reports of one time offers of 25% of the price drop in non-refundable OBC.  Worth asking.

How did you book your cruise?  If you booked through a TA you have to use the TA to do your negotiations; NCL won't talk to you.  If you booked through the website or directly with NCL then just call the 800 reservation number, have your reservation number handy, point out the now $300 difference in price & ask if they can do anything for you.

 

We try & use a PCC when we book a cruise with NCL because when a price drop like you describe happens you have a real, live person with whom you've dealt with to talk to & not just whomever answers the phone.  As an example we got bumped up to a Balcony GTY from an Inside GTY when our price dropped $300 each a week after we had booked the cruise with our PCC.  We just called our PCC & he "went the extra mile" & got us bumped up.

Even if you can't score a free upgrade, you might be able to pay a small price difference to upgrade if the prices have dropped accordingly. They don't usually refuse that.
