Beer Belly Posted October 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2019 ....but I do not. We are going to Bahamas in April 2020, and they offer a shore excursion to swim with the Dolphins, I do not care to swim with a mammal that can drown me, toss me in the air or push me out to sea (I cannot swim, sink like a rock), but if all I wanted to do was to take the trip, do I still need to pay the full excursion price ?. sanger727 Posted October 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2019 It's silly to pay the crazy high price of a dolphin swim if you don't want to swim. You didn't say which island this was offered at... Nassau? I would try to book it independently if there's no spectator option for the shore excursion. Rare ziggyuk Posted October 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2019 I would research how far it was, and maybe get a taxi if you just want to watch.
L8Daydreamer Posted October 22, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2019 Assuming you are go to Atlantis for this excursion?? They have a dolphin cay beach pass for $35 that you can purchase directly at Atlantis. You go to the beach area where everyone else does the dolphin encounter and you just stay on land and watch. You don't have to pay for the full excursion with your wife if you don't want to.
*Luv2Cruz* Posted October 22, 2019 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2019 If you go to blue lagoon, you may be able to do both as they have several types of excursions. Good luck[emoji1696]Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
Beer Belly Posted October 22, 2019 Author #7 Share Posted October 22, 2019 (edited) If need be, I'll pay whatever. It's on her bucket list, so if we must, we will. Edited October 22, 2019 by Beer Belly
mjkacmom Posted October 22, 2019 #8 Share Posted October 22, 2019 I’d go with Blue Lagoon, she can swim with the dolphins and you can enjoy the beach. It also gets better reviews.
Rare 1025cruise Posted October 22, 2019 #9 Share Posted October 22, 2019 I would think that there is a spectator option, though you might need to book on board. Now one thing to note, most of them "discourage" spectators from taking pictures, so as long as you only plan to watch, all should be well. F27TW Posted October 23, 2019 #11 Share Posted October 23, 2019 Blue Lagoon gets my vote for sure .. its a beautiful spot even if you don't do the swim. I was able to stand right there on the dock and watch my partner and his Mom do the swim without having paid the (exhorbitant) package rate. I just paid a different one that didnt include the swim. This was on RC tho .. but if u can do Blue Lagoon, youll love it .. beautful beach there.
