The_Portlandian Posted October 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2019 Redditor u/rez667 claims that $610 was stolen from their safe after changing rooms to start the second leg of their B2B. "Tl;Dr (from the post) put $1258 in safe, floor supervisor stole $610, I pressed charges, and have been giving statements for 3 hours." This is a good reminder that you can never be too careful. Stay safe everyone.

Organized Chaos Posted October 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 28, 2019 What is the floor supervisor’s job, do they oversee the stewards and housekeeping teams? And why was that one in someone’s cabin after boarding, and what made her open THAT safe in particular?
PhoenixCruiser Posted October 28, 2019 #4 Share Posted October 28, 2019 How did they get into the safe? When we have had safe issues one of us had to be in the cabin/room.Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
geoffrywillhardt Posted October 28, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 28, 2019 The TLDR on this is not very helpful. It is much clearer if you read the actual post to see what happened according to the reddit user. Just FYI for anyone reading this and wondering.

That is not at all what I expected from the summary.
JaxsMama Posted October 28, 2019 #7 Share Posted October 28, 2019 Does anyone know if Carnival has a record of exactly who opens your cabin door and when? Does the lock store that info? Same goes for the safe?

mackenzie80 Posted October 28, 2019 #9 Share Posted October 28, 2019 Those safes are easy to open, but I locked myself out on a cruise and a security officer had to come to open. Story just seems odd.
havanadaydreaming Posted October 28, 2019 #10 Share Posted October 28, 2019 i cant read original post, firewalled. I assume from the comments it paints things in a slightly different light. I agree with the others, we had to be IN ROOM when mechanic came to reset safe combo for us. if memory serves there was room steward, safecracker, and us in room while access code reset. I feel pretty secure with placing valuable in safe, but we rarely travel with anything or major value or irreplaceable (except wife's wedding ring).
