Does anyone know if the end rooms of the boardwalk (9329 and 9729) have an obstructed view of the aqua show bc of the Ultimate Abyss slide??

You are far enough back that you should have a clear view, though not sure the walk back there is worth it.

The slide is further back than the furthest back rooms.  The curve of the slide is actually right smack in the view of deck 9.

Thanks! That was very helpful to see just how close the slide is. Still a decent view aft. We have 9729 next year on the Allure TA in November.

I found several views of these last BW rooms weighing options for the Harmony TA in April 2021. We booked 11729👍

I'm on Symphony right now, in a boardwalk room, with the aquashow going on.  We are just a couple of rooms in.  Don't expect a quality experience or view of the aquashow.  We are enjoying some drinks and the music and what not, but the view is extremely limited due to the slide.

Our group sailed Last room deck 9 an 10  .  Would never recommend these rooms .  View is blocked and too much noise for us.

Would you mind elaborating on the “too much noise”. Most especially, WHEN is the too much noise for you?

Also, what view are you referring to? The aqua theater? The wake?

The aqua theatre shows and movies run late most nights.  There are many posts regarding this issue.   These ships do not have many places with ocean views.  We have tried Many types of rooms on the Oasis Class ships and will never do boardwalk again.  IMHO it is worth the slight cost to get a regular ov balcony.

There is a 10:30 aqua show.  It's loud.  If you are not in bed before midnight, then noise isn't a factor.  But if you are down at 10 or so, it can be a problem.  We actually kind of like the boardwalk and the noise, etc.  It's not for everyone, though.

We were about half way down at 10307 and we could still see the ocean in the background on the sides of the Aqua Theatre. It was very pretty seeing it in the distance.  But of course, it's not the same as looking down on the ocean right outside your window, if that's important to you.

We loved the Boardwalk room, and there was muffled sound at night, but nothing ear plugs didn't fix.  Don't know if its much louder on the end rooms, but we selected mid way for this reason.

Thank you for addressing the timing specifically, this was the info that I was most wanting to know. We're staying in BW for the first time on a TA so we will be dealing with our stateroom choice for 12 nights! LOL. I live quite an isolated and often solitary life. I quite enjoy being around other people...and in general, I believe that I would much prefer to have an element of people watching as opposed to looking out into a sea at nothing but an endless expanse of water. Everyone is different...General toning down of noise around midnight suits me just fine. Thank you. Have stayed in the CP balconies and have another one booked for Feb 2020...thought about the OV balcony for the TA, but really...not much to see there for me...I love the wake and any glimpse will make me happy...saving the OV balcony experience for an itinerary with more ports and more sights.

Boardwalk is new and different for us.  But I'm quite liking it so far.  The action, lighting, music, etc on the boardwalk appeals to us.  It's more entertaining than watching the ocean.  But definitely not for everyone.

We usually book BW or CP balconies and have enjoyed them both.  We rarely ever sit on the balcony but we like it for the fresh air and lots of natural light.  The sound doesn’t bother us as we typically don’t head to bed until after midnight.

for us getting a BW or a CP Balcony is usually very close in price to an interior room as we are able to apply our D discount so it’s really a no brainer for us.  The cost is typically $200 more per person to go from that to an Oceanview Balcony and with 2 cabins that’s an extra $800 which pays for our UDP.

It all depends on what you are looking for.  If you are used to Oceanview balconies then this may not be a good choice for you.
