i have not cruised with MSC yet, but have Black membership from my RCI Diamond

Do Msc have the equivalent to the royal diamond lounge drinks happy hours ( 3.5 hours) or another option for members getting complimentary drinks?

If you mean you matched to Black (now Diamond)

the benefits are listed here

George,

How did you go about using your free dinner perk? Did you reserve before sailing? (if so, how) and if not and did it onboard, was availability easy to come by? We are Black Card now Diamond too and wondering how we actually take advantage of the perks....it mentioned something about other offers/vouchers or something too..Thanks!

If I can jump in there is a card in your cabin/stateroom regarding the meal and how to book.

When you board you can make your reservation at one of the kiosks or you can call reservations desk and make it.  There may or may not be a voucher in your cabin, we are just off of the Seaside for 3 weeks and never received a voucher even though we had the free dinner perk 3 times (did a b2b2b).  You just tell them when you go to the restaurant that you are Diamond and they will tell you what you can order (you order from the Dining Experience menu).  Easy Peasy.

We did not get a card in our stateroom so we asked at the Voyagers Club desk and were told the perks arrive slowly throughout the cruise and our meal voucher would probably arrive on the return leg 2 days before departure.

One evening the Butchers Cut were walking around the dining room selling seats, we asked them if we could book without the invite and they were happy to do this.

We had a fantastic meal in Butchers Cut, but never did get an official invite.

So if like us you don't get an invite, just go to the restaurant and make a booking by showing your card.

One other tip:

We attended both the Diamond and welcome back party, because the Diamond was first we collected two free photos the following day.

If we had waited until after the welcome back party we would have had more choice of photo including the opportunity to have a picture with the captain. Because we collected early we have a choice of 3 photos, one with both of us and two singles.

Oh, one more tip:

You can ask for a black (no diamonds unfortunately) pin at the Voyagers Club desk, while at the VC desk she asked us if it was our first cruise as diamond and when we said it was, she gave us a pin each.
