Carolyn1964 Posted December 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Hi does anyone know what is the latest time you can disembark ship on last day and what colour tag that will be ?
Paul Bogle Posted December 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2019 Latest debarkation time is usually 10:00 am. The last color for general debarkation is Orange. There will probably be other colors called at that time as well for people with Norwegian transfers or post-cruise hotel packages. Those colors are usually Light Blue and Pink 2 respectively. I say Pink 2 because Pink 1 is called earlier for some airport transfers.
MeHeartCruising Posted December 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2019 I'm not sure all ships use the same colors for the same meanings. Case in point, if the second posting above is accurate for them, that doesn't match what I experienced on the Pearl last month. We had Lime Green for our group of ship transfers from Miami to FLL airport.

You are correct, they are not all the same. On the final Bliss Mexican Riviera trip this Fall the final tag color was brown, for airport transfers, debarkation at 9:30. Sauer-kraut Posted December 19, 2019 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2019 Just pick the last ones, you don't have to be off when they call the color but you do need to be off around 9:30-10:00 am By then there are so few bags left in the terminal its easy to find yours. don't-use-real-name Posted December 19, 2019 #6 Share Posted December 19, 2019 Except for the Walk-Off guests (no luggage tags required) the order and priority may not be uniform on all ships and at all ports ! Guests with colored tags: Guests in Suites Havens Guests with end cruise shore excursions Guests with NCL Transfers to Airport or other transportation center Guests with Group priority or Affinity And Guests with general non-specific travel arrangements A rainbow of colors to note If you have need for leaving the ship faster discuss it with Guest Services for the appropriate color tag Luggage is staged by the color tags in an area for claiming at various times Small claiming areas may present a problem of floor space to spread all the luggage out When your color que is called you disembark and claim your luggage and off you go In general all guests must be off the ship between 9-10am (may vary by arrival time and port) In the USA a Zero Head Count must be had before embarking of the new cruise - this is done by accounting of the Key Cards swiped leaving the ship. No lolly-ganging around - leave the ship when your color que is called - you are holding up the show ! Try and leave your cabin by 8am - lounge around in the buffet with a late breakfast or other area designated Back-to-Back cruises are handled differently - specifics to be provided. You could do a post cruise shore excursion one of NCLs or your own self-guided one But that option may not be all that rewarding or even wanted You also could consider lingering about the ship as long as you can watching all the panic as guests with tight schedules rush here and there getting off the ship Leave the ship before 10am or the required time and take leisure time getting to the airport Leave the ship 10:00 am - Flight leaves 17:45 pm (5:45pm) - 7 some hours to wile the time away If you have affinity membership at an airline club you could wait it out there There are at some airports lounges sponsored by American Express and other venues For a fee settle in for bite to eat - read a paper - some have showers and snooze rooms Make sure your plans allow for jam ups at TSA Security and arriving at the airline gate at the designated time When checking in with your airline - have questionable seating - see if it can be changed to something better Airlines without advance seating assignment - get to the gate early for best first come first serve Your flight most certainly will not have elegant meals like on the cruise ship - if hungry make a plan Just some ideas to consider before settling back into the drab end of travel/vacation return to work mode Again note your cruise port ship arrival - readers may have some more input - suggestions
Rare ollienbertsmum Posted December 22, 2019 #10 Share Posted December 22, 2019 Although it might seem a good idea to stay on the ship until the last minute, it is not much fun. Everyone is leaving!! The feeling is that the party is over. You will be told when you need to leave your room. For us it was 8 am. If you are disembarking in Venice, there is a great luggage store just as you get off the people mover. We left our bags there and went for another wander - our flight was not until 8 pm so we had lots of time to kill. It was nice.

On the Encore TA the orange tags were for the later disembarkation for the Priority, like Platinum, customers. (the earlier one was Yellow). So, it's crapshoot. (Yes, BirdTravels is correct) Wait until two days before end of cruise when the coloured tags come out on display in the Guest Services. Don't worry if you are too late to pick up the latest time tags, just pick any up, and wait on ship until it's time YOU want to leave. Last thing: don't expect to be able to enjoy the last hours before disembarking - no bars are open and the staff are too busy cleaning up and getting the ship ready for the new passengers, and will not have time for chitchats with anyone.
