I can see my stateroom for feb's panama canal cruise.

I hope this won't cause a delay

I know that's selfish, cause obviously someones cruise will be affected due to repairs.

Coming from a Navy background where one of my ships had similar damage, I can say with certainty that this will take many weeks, if not a couple of months to repair.

Terrible. Hopefully no one was hurt.

My thoughts too.... hopefully no one back there when it happened.  I would guess the whole ship felt it though, so we'll be hearing about multiple falls and injuries onboard for sure.

Would a Harbor pilot have been in control of the ship?

Harbour Pilots only give suggestions in navigation to the Captain, who is at all times responsible for the movement and safety of the ship, her crew and passengers. The Captain is free to accept or ignore anything the Pilot says.

Oh my!!!  And just before one of the busiest cruising weeks where there probably isn't a lot of room for people to re-book on another ship :-(

I hope everyone is OK but looks like dining room and probably there were a few folks there having a late breakfast.

Has me re-thinking my cabin choice for my February cruise - I had picked an OV just below the dining room.

Please keep us updated.

It might. I hope that you purchased insurance...

Watching that video (thanks BNBR for the video) it appears there is an object near the front of the Legend. Does anyone know what this is? A tug perhaps?

That's the pier.  Legend is docked.  Glory was attempting to dock on the other side of the pier and got swept by the wind.

In the near background there is a small boat passing Glory on her port side. I can't tell what type of boat from this clip but is moving too swiftly for a tug.
