Klapka Posted January 1, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2020 I know that this has been covered here a thousand times, but can you guys remind me how many chics we may expect on a 14 cruise?
ace123 Posted January 1, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Is Chic night the new name for formal?
Rare cruisestitch Posted January 1, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Three. The elegant chic designation is not the same as formal. You can see it well described on the Celebrity website.
wanderlust58 Posted January 1, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2020 It's now called Evening Chic. I was surprised how the term was interpreted on our last cruise...quite a lot of leeway, and on more than one occasion, one diner was not turned away from Blu for wearing a hoodie, shorts, and a backpack. I felt comfortable with dressy black pants and a nice blouse. Very few coats and ties and no long dresses were seen. As for how many nights on a 14 day cruise, it used to be 4, but there were 2 on the 12 night we just took. I searched "evening chic" on the Celebrity website and didn't get a clear answer, so you might want to call them.
ECCruise Posted January 1, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2020 They say there are 2, but always seem to have 3.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted January 1, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Google can be your best friend - just google Celebrity Cruise Chic Nights All cruises that are 7 nights or longer will feature two Evening Chic nights. Any cruise 6-nights or shorter will feature one Evening Chic night. All other nights of the cruise will feature Smart Casual attire. Celebrity Xpedition will continue to feature casual attire for the entire cruise.

ECCruise Posted January 1, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 1, 2020 Don't know where the breakout is from 2 to 3, but I know that on virtually every one of our sailings 13 or more days there has been 3 chic nights. The website doesn't show that but the ships all seem to do 3.
