Odyssey vs. Oasis Class

We just booked the odyssey of the seas for next New Years.  We have done an oasis class ship 7 times in a row and the new Odyssey sounded like a good choice to try.  Opinions from anyone would be appreciated.  Are we going to be disappointed with odyssey over Oasis?  What are some pros and cons??

Kinda hard to provide an opinion on a ship that has yet to sail.

 

Biker, who would lean toward a Q class ship over O class.

Have you sailed a Quantum ship yet?

My suggestion is to read up on the Anthem

We've sailed on Oasis, Allure, and Harmony...just sailed on Anthem in late August and loved it!!  It was fun to try a different class of ships.  Looking forward to trying the Odyssey in 2021.

We were on Oasis and then found Anthem and spent 3 cruises on her.  We like the little smaller ship and feel there are more things to do on board.  We booked Odyssey for March 2021 and are really looking forward to seeing and being on her.  I would choose Quantum over Oasis class anytime.

Several appealing features on Quantum class.  
 

Best Solarium in the fleet.  WJ is much better than Oasis class and has outdoor seating.  My favorite WJ.  
 

I enjoy Oasis class but Quantum class is equally if not more appealing but for very different reasons.  
 

Having said that Odyssey hasn’t sailed yet but I have high hopes for her.

NOPE you wont be disappointed!!!!!!!

It is like comparing Lobster or Filet. Both wonderful but different taste.

 

I too am booked on Odyssey in fact twice,  once in Apr for southern caribbean and once for summer out of Rome. First time Quantum class will be on Fla and North star is a treat as well as Two70 in back of ship.

 

I was pleased with Anthem and Ovation.

Odyssey will now have sports bar in Seaplex.

You will be pleased and for New Years too.

Odyssey is about the same as the rest of the Q class. Read some of the reviews from Odyssey to see if you see something there to have it win over O class. It will come down to some of the specifics you are looking for.

We have sailed twice on Odyssey. Just our personal preference, we prefer Oasis-class ships.
