Iamcruzin Posted January 6, 2020 #26 Share Posted January 6, 2020 Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I remember reading a while back that Royal Caribbean was changing their strategy on pricing by not discounting close to sailing date in order to fill ships. I don't know if it was Royal or another line but it seems to hold true for RC.

ryguy2008 Posted January 6, 2020 #28 Share Posted January 6, 2020 Heck, when I booked my summer 2019 cruise, in a 7 day span, the price was fluctuating by over $1,000. This was around 45 days out. There really is no predictable pattern.

Another had something to do with what defines close to sailing. This allows them to discount after final, but before 30 day?? window.
