gvre Posted January 4, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2020 We will be on the Diamond in April for 2 back to back cruises. We will be changing mini suites on Emerald deck after the first cruise. How much of a hassle is it? Can we move our stuff to the new cabin that morning? Thanks for the reply!

Not that big of a hassle. When the new cabin is ready/cleaned you can move. Housekeeping will either have Steward help you move or provide someone who will help. They usually have one of those hotel type carts you can hang your clothes up on. Let your Stewart know during the cruise that you are moving at the end.

Just did this on the Sky. You just have to have all your things in your suitecase and anything on hangers will be moved for you. The stewards will do it for you. We went down to our "new" cabin the day before moving to introduce ourselves to the new steward and let him know we were moving and it was all taken care of for us. You will get a letter in your room the day before telling you the above.
paul929207 Posted January 5, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2020 It was not a major hassle. However, we did not get as much help as the folks above. Stuff on hangers was moved, but we had to move stuff in drawers, etc.

I have done a back to back cruise so here’s my experience. You don’t move anything. You pack all of your small stuff. They moved all of my clothes left on the hangers & moved my suitcases to the new stateroom. As others have said I went & introduced myself to the steward of my new stateroom steward who appreciated it. The safe in my new stateroom was available if I needed it. After going through customs & returning to the ship everything was moved. I enjoyed being on the ship with only a few people being onboard. I wouldn't want them handling things in drawers personally.

neverbeenhere Posted January 5, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Don’t worry, no one is reaching into your drawers other than yourself. 1
I Love Cruising 3 Posted January 5, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2020 We always moved our own clothes when changing cabins but they'll do it for you if you prefer. We don't really like the crew to have to move our personal things. btw- the draws in most cabin are interchangeable & it's easy to switch them if closeby. Since we will still be in Japan we will not have to go through customs?
