ship codes

Everyone knows that Royal Caribbean assigns each ship a two-letter identifier.  ("ship code")

It is used in email addresses, booking invoices, and many other ways.

AD = Adventure

AL = Allure

AN = Anthem

BR = Brilliance

EN = Enchantment

EX = Explorer

FR = Freedom

GR = Grandeur

HM = Harmony

ID = Independence (don't say "IN" - that's Celebrity's Infinity)

JW = Jewel

LB = Liberty

MA = Mariner

MJ = Majesty

NE = Empress (her original name was Nordic Empress)

NV = Navigator

OA = Oasis

OV = Ovation

QN = Quantum

RD = Radiance

RH = Rhapsody

SC = Spectrum

SR = Serenade

SY = Symphony

VI = Vision

VY = Voyager

So, along comes Odyssey.  And what is her code?     OY

I LOVE IT!  😄

This is helpful, we have some people that like to abbreviate ship names when posting but just WHICH "AOS" are you referring to?!?!?  Is it Anthem, Allure or Adventure?  lol

Yes, many new cruisers are only aware of the ship that they are booking (or considering booking) and have no idea what other ships exist. 😊

Does this mean that Matt Yee will be the permanent piano player in the Schooner Bar?

The guy on the other thread with the first time cruisers?  Independence. He confirmed it later in the thread but it was still easy to figure out as he referred to it as an older ship that was recently amp'd. Neither of which applies to IC.

I saw it of course. . ..he still posted it as IOS. Just because it's been cleared up doesnt mean some posters dont post abbreviations incorrectly as 3 letters etc. .. and assumed like others it was that ship from the price. Not sure why people are acting like posters never post wrong abbreviations.

And I too guessed, though I also asked to be sure, just for clarity. It's better to be sure.
