Empehi Posted January 23, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2020 Flying in the day of the cruise, scheduled to arrive at 8:55am. Can we get our checked luggage and then catch a 10am shuttle to the port. Would an hour or so be enough time to do this? Thanks.

ssb Posted January 24, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2020 If your flight arrives on time , you have no problem .
1025cruise Posted January 24, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 24, 2020 I normally fly in/out of Hobby. The last time I flew into Bush, I remember having to trek across to another terminal to get to baggage claim. And the same on my departing flight. Check-in was in one terminal, but I had to trek across to another terminal for my flight. I believe I was flying United/Continental (yeah, its been quite a few years). I think my flights were in/out of the terminal for international arrivals/departures, but we were domestic.

There are any number of flights from Midway to Hobby on Southwest, a much better choice for getting to a Galveston cruise as both are MUCH smaller airports than O'Hare and Bush Intercontinental. baabtx Posted January 29, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2020 Like the other poster stated, if you're flight is on time, you'll have your bags by 9:30 and plenty of time to catch the shuttle - although you may want to ensure your terminal of arrival and where the shuttle departs from (or if it makes stops at all terminals). IAH is actually a pretty easy airport.
PelicanBill Posted February 17, 2020 #7 Share Posted February 17, 2020 As with all same-day arrival situations, if your flight is late you have to be ready to simply get a taxi and go. If that's okay with you then go with the plan. If you want some play in the schedule get a shuttle an hour later.
