My employer (healthcare facility) just implemented a travel ban on all non-essential work travel and is requiring a 14-day quarantine leave/PTO (if you have days banked) for anyone traveling through Level 2 or Level 3 countries for non-work travel (as well as countries that get upgraded to L2/L3 by the time of your return).  They also are recommending reevaluating any personal domestic travel carefully.

 

This probably would fall under coverage for some travel insurance plans' "Cancel for Work Reasons" since it wouldn't be hard to get a supervisor to revoke previously approved vacation time for anyone they deem as "essential" and not able to risk losing to a 14-day+ quarantine following vacay.

Celebrity should step up and modify their cancellation policy to allow for a cruise credit for future cruise. 
These are difficult time for both the companies and passengers, and Celebrities policy should be adjusted for the current realities.

This is in Canada...

Air France, Air Canada and Air Transat, meanwhile, announced that passengers will be allowed to postpone or cancel flights booked in March, free of charge.

The Canadian government has issued advisories against non-essential travel to the main countries affected -- China, Iran, northern Italy and parts of South Korea.

Air France, Air Canada and Air Transat are not allowing you to cancel existing bookings, only if you make the booking in March. If you booked your flights last December you are still SOL. They are trying to stop the bleeding of passengers by allow those that make a booking in March for a future flight to be able to cancel later on. Not the same as allowing cancellation of flights in March regardless of when they were booked.

When you purchase a ticket between March 4 and March 31, 2020, Air Canada will allow you to make a one-time change to your flight without incurring a change fee up to 14 days before travel. Kindly note that any fare difference will apply."

correct, and in my humble opinion very unfair.  I am hoping the airlines change their policies if this gets any worse.  I do not wait until the month before to purchase a ticket for a cruise.....

I think that's what I did report in the advisement.."allowed to postpone or cancel flights booked in March,"...you expanded...thank you...

I got an email from United... same thing. Flights booked during the month of March can be changed with no penalties.
