A few small questions about cruising on Anthem of the Seas

Recommended Posts

I know I am probably mad, based on the current situation, but I am considering ooking on the Anthem of the Seas for a september cruise. Fingers crossed, lots of things will be back closer to normality by then.

Anyway, I have not been on an RCI cruise before and was wondering if anyone can answer a few questions for me?

Firstly, are there any launderettes on board?

Do you register a credit card the same as P&O when you book in at the terminal?

Does the deluxe drinks package price include the 18% gratuity charge, or does this still need to be added on?

Are there designated smoking areas and where are they? Neither of us smoke but we do use Vapes.

Finally, are all the plug sockets 2 pin or are some of the UK 3 pin sockets.

Thank you in advance.

You can register a card when you do online checkin prior to arriving at the port...same concept though.

Yes the drink package will include the 18% grat when you buy it in the cruise planner.

Yes there are designated smoke areas/vape areas

All rooms have US and European sockets...if you bring an adapter you can plug in twice as many things

This to date was our favorite ship...the cabins were the best we have seen on any ship. Ship was bigger than most we have been on but never felt really crowded. September is a long way off, you will enjoy!!! Let's hope we are back to some kind of normal by then!!!

The price per day for the Ultimate Drink Package works like this example

$50 per day per person

7 day cruise

$350 per person for the week

18% gratuitie would be $63 per person

So the total per person would be $413 per person for the week.

No self serve laundry but they usually have a laundry special mid trip  all you can fit into bag they give you for $25 to $35.  I have used this service on several b2b cruises.

Smoking on pool deck, casino and an outdoor but covered booth on one of decks but cannot remember which one right now as I usually went to pool deck during the day and casino during the night.

You will enjoy this ship!

Not to be negative just cautious as I try to avoid cruises on east coast in september or october.   Hurricane season.  Even if not any hurricanes can get some strong winds and rough seas that time of year depending on your destination.  You never know with mother nature.
