Of course it's the Montagu Arms, we've stayed here 3 times pre-cruise.

They do a Cruise parking package and it's a lovely spot. We've been in 3 different rooms and they've all been very comfortable. I'm slightly worried that the step up to the toilet could be a problem during the night though !

We did pretty well in the hurricane… truly massive rains in our area.

There was quite a lot of flooding from the dumping of rain around Central Florida…. Of course since Orlando is inland, it is nothing like the storm surge and category 4 damage seen on the coast.

Luckily our home has good drainage being on high ground. So we have no water accumulation issues. Many of our friends were not so lucky.
As expected we have many branches down in the yard.

We have one fence post which broke, so two panels went down.

Very minimal.

Plus we have power.

Grateful.

While not a regular contributor to Cunard blog, we have sailed several Cunard ships.  In response to the Sanibel Island bridge - the bridge has been destroyed in 4 different places.  It will be a long long time before anyone can get to the isalnd unless by boat or air.  Coast Guard has been air lifting people that stayed (although begged to leave).  Anyway, there are websites you can go to to update.  SW Florida has been Decimated.  We live in Naples and are very blessed that our little community did not flood and we were never without power..  Our hearts go out to all the people who lost everything.  Please keep all of Florida in your prayers.  Mary & Bill

We're home, it's a lovely sunny day here so the first loads of holiday washing are drying in the garden and I'm sitting in the sun with Biggles on my lap.

He behaved himself for his cat sitters but he seems pleased to have us home.

Dear Canadian Cunarders,

I’m sorry your Blue Jays lost. They are a fine team. But I’m “gladder” we won.

Our drought has ended. Finally.

Especially to our friends in British Columbia, please root for us against Houston.

Prayers are welcomed and appreciated.

For those in other countries, this is baseball play off season.

Go Mariners!

They fought hard last night.  Maybe your Mariners can meet my Braves in the World Series!
