travellingnana Posted June 10, 2020 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2020 I have a FCCs from a cancelled cruise, and an upcoming cruise booked for Jan 21. Princess has not applied the FCCs to the 2021 cruise, yet when I looked at booking something in 2022, the FCCs were automatically applied. Think that means my 2021 cruise is going nowhere? I have a Jan. 2021, cruise booked and Princess, without my asking, put part of our FCC on that and part of one for May, 2021. There seems to be no rhyme or reason how this is happening. It is anyone's guess if any of these cruises will be going, but just keeping my fingers crossed! Edited June 10, 2020 by ROWSE
dog Posted June 10, 2020 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Call Princess and ask to change it.
voljeep Posted June 10, 2020 #4 Share Posted June 10, 2020 follow the money … Princess is hoping you 'won't notice' that and go ahead and pay for the earlier cruise … it's been reported here to just call your TA or Princess to adjust to your choice
lolaletu Posted June 10, 2020 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2020 Hi: I just got off the phone with my TA. Now, I am more confused then ever. We were suppose to be on the 5/16/20 Caribbean Princess sailing. I choose Option 2 FCC that was suppose to be 125% FCC. I basically asked my TA how much my FCC was for (she said its not posted yet), but told me what I was suppose to get. It is the same price as what I paid. I said to her I thought I was getting 125% (she said that is what it is) because you don't count the taxes. Looking at it that way I am receiving nothing more than what I paid, or do we get the taxes put back on our credit card automatically. Sorry, but I am very confused at this point? If anyone can help, thank you.
Rare Tak8 Posted June 10, 2020 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2020 You will get your taxes back somewhere, somehow. It could be on your credit card or gift card if you used one to pay. In some cases, people are getting it back in a holding account to be used for a future cruise.

Don't know if the cruise will go...or if we will feel comfortable enough going...and if we do cancel, it takes so long to get anything back into your account. I opted not to book 2022 yet. Decided I wasn't comfortable booking anything else with them until I get the $$ back that they still owe me.
infoteknerd Posted June 11, 2020 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2020 Yea, this was odd. My FCC was also applied automatically to my furtherest out cruise which was Dec 2020. I ended up calling and cancelling it yesterday along with another earlier Dec 2020 cruise, the FCC is showing already on my Captains Circle account. They said my deposit refund for the other cruise might take longer than the normal 2-weeks.
chamima Posted June 14, 2020 #9 Share Posted June 14, 2020 (edited) We just booked a cruise for Nov 2021. The same day we got an email from Princess saying that if we booked a Tahiti cruise we would get an extra $150 in OBC. We also have a cancelled Tahiti cruise from this year that we were supposed to get 150% OBC for if we didn't request our deposit back in cash. So is this $150 that we got on the 2021 cruise just that money from the cancelled cruise? ($100 of which was our deposit - so not a bonus at all.) rwilk1129 Posted June 15, 2020 #10 Share Posted June 15, 2020 Princess applied my FCC from 4/12 Regal cruise that they cancelled to my Jan 2, 2021 Enchanted cruise. Duh. Enchanted is a free casino cruise. Called casino and they put it back into Capt circle acct which I will use later.
