Insider Offer/Past Guest Offer

Hi there,

Cannot believe that after taking a ton of NCL cruises, I don't understand this.

I went into My NCL to review what the insider offers are this month that give you additional latitude points.

It appears a number of tranatlantic cruises are insider offers (I think).

I was interested in the Escape leaving NYC on April 16th.  It says it's a Past Guest Offer.   The link says that Past Guests receive 15% off cruise fares plus a bonus latitude point per night.

My questions

1-The past guest offers are really the insider offers?

2- Am I really entitled to take 15% off the cruise fare that's listed on NCL.com?  Seems to generous.  Someone pinch me!

Thanks.

Thanks for posting this! I now understand why I was seeing a 15% discount when I did a fake booking this evening on a b2b we just booked last week. Definitely contacting our TA tomorrow to get the discount applied, plus getting the extra loyalty points their offering as well is another nice perk!

so I guess I have to answer my own questions.....

1-yes

2-no  The discount is already applied.

With regards to #2, my guess is you will only see the Insider discounted price while you are logged on AND actually try to do a fake booking on the itinerary you're interested in. This is what I saw when I reached the Select the Offers and Discount page in the online booking process, but I could be wrong.

WELCOME BACK! CONTINUE BOOKING TO LOCK-IN YOUR EXCLUSIVE 15% OFF SAVINGS, PLUS 1 BONUS LATITUDES POINT PER NIGHT & MORE OFFERS BELOW.

do the following (1) log in (2) go to account summary (3) go to latitudes rewards. This will take you to the 15% off page.  check the dates, and the embarkation point and the cruise will come up. at that point itwill show the prices per cabin. the prices shown, reflect the 15% discount. from there just book like you normally would. i get the info and call my cruise consultant.

hope this helped you out

Compare Norwegians 15% discount with the other Cruise lines offers--

Like MSC 5+5=10% discount and $50-100 OBC per person for Voyager club members.

Like MSC 50% discount for healthcare workers for all Cruises from now until 31 March 2021

Like MSC 30% discount for healthcare workers for all Cruises in April and May 2021

Like Carnivals OBC gift of USD 300/600 or AUD 450/900 for transferring the payment from a cancelled Cruise to a future Cruise

We have to pay $19.80 per person per day extra service charges for the unlimited alcoholic beverage package as well as the service charge for the dining package. Both these charges are added to your Cruise fare in advance.

You can decline either or both of the 'free' drink and dining packages (and their service charges).

We only drink in the casino, where our casino status gets us free drinks from a limited selection.  Always decline the Free-at-Sea drink offers and never have to pay that service fee.

Sure wish I could trade the drink package for more specialty dining... We love, love, love Moderno.

sorry, no comparison to the 15% off offer. i'm not a healthcare worker and the difference in the cabin price is a better value to me then the obc. i'll stick with ncl

You can decline them and save $19.80 per person per day, but the cost is already built into the basic fare, which you have to pay.

The same applies for the specialty dining packages.

So if you choose to decline them, you will lose anyway.

I think that the Sail away rate is the best deal, whenever it's available

Often the “perks “ inclusion is frequently missed.  So many times it will erroneously be claimed   “I have no problem drinking $20/day I always ahead “. As example     NCL marketing takes full advantage of this with not offering Sail Away rates until very late-  after final payment etc. depending on supply and demand.    I’ve seen differences of $1000 sometimes with my bookings.   Many times less tha a week prior.      I never want any perks.  But it’s wonderful to have choices for those who do.

I do think- however it will be very different when cruising starts back up.   I’ll wait and see.  It will be difficult for me to change my booking style.   🤩🤩🤩

Yes, prices after final payment date can often crash; because they need to fill the last few cabins or cancelled cabins

Yes,  in the past.  I took full advantage of them.   (59 cruises since 1-20/2017,  solo rates,  never paid any double occupancy)

But I think the future is going to be VERY different and maybe no more solo rates?    Or last minute dumps?     I do not expect what happened in the past,  to continue.

I would agree. We are now living in a different world with new normal rules and standards. The pre COVID-19 cruising model is history and not coming back.

"Up to 50% off based on sailing and season". No where on their website can I find which sailings are entitled to the full 50% off, and ain't no true healthcare worker has time to sit on the phone with someone to find out.

Just booked us on an Alaska cruises with NCL for April 2021 to replace our cancelled New Zealand/Australia cruise we were supposed to take in January. I'll take a guaranteed 15% on a trip I actually want to take at a time that works for me, than sit on the phone and be offered stuff I'm not interested in.

You need to spend time on the phone, because your travel agent has to check your eligibility for the 50% discount on all MSC Cruises sailing before 31 March 2021

.IF YOU ARE A HOSPITAL EMPLOYEE YOU SHOULD BE ELIGIBLE.

just see the terms and which categories are eligible and not eligible

Wow Queen, 59 Cruises in 3 years must be some sort of record.

I wish I was in your shoes

Or it can be the exact opposite and there will be more. I don’t think we can predict.
